We stayed at the BWI 6/15 through 6/18 and I enjoyed it more than our first visit. We got a really great rate of $180 a night because I was attending the precious moments convention. Check in went well, but initially, I thought they were putting us in one of the worse rooms ever because we were in "the dungeon" :rotfl: It was on the first floor - below the lobby and almost as far down the hall as you could go. It was also very quiet, which I realized was a plus. Even better was when we opened the door to our room and then the door to our patio. Not more than 10-15 yards away was the quiet pool! Our room was in a beautiful courtyard, with the cottages across the way. We could just open our patio door and sprint to the pool.

This was a budget trip, so we had no dining plan, paying oop for everything. We ate at Kona Cafe, Prime Time Cafe and CRT for our table service meals and Earl of Sandwich and Lotus blossom (?) cafe for our CS meals.

I especially loved the CRT for dinner on Father's Day. The waiter was so in character and entertaining. We all loved the fairygodmother presentation too and I made sure I got my picture taken with both Suzy and Perla. DS - 12 proved that toy swords could be broken, again and again. It seemed that within 5-minutes of getting his, he snapped off the handle,:rotfl: so they replaced it. 20 minutes later, he snapped the handle off of that one. I just laughed. After dinner, we had front row seats for the parade, which was great.

50's Prime Time Cafe was great too. They really push those green beans!:lmao: We had a great waitress. She made DH remove his hat and set the table. I need to take her home with me.

On our last morning, we decided to have breakfast at Kona Cafe. As usual, service and food were great as usual. I gotta figure out how to make those pancakes.

We had no problems at the BWI other than the laptop thingy I mentioned in another thread. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our trip. I was glad DH had time to relax and for once we didn't do the parks commando style. DH is not into thrill rides, so I actually didn't ride any :scared1: so that DH could do all rides with me.

Of course, now I need to plan another trip!
----------------------------------- Edited to add:
A very funny thing happened at the airport on the way home. As we were going through airport security, I get approached by TSA who has my carryon in his hand. "Is this your bag?" he asks. I answered yes. "Well, you're carrying a banned substance." I was completely shocked. My mind started racing. What in the world could I possibly have?

He reaches into my bag and pulles out my snow globe - filled with water! "This contains a banned substance." he repeats. If you want to keep it, you'll need to check it at the airline ticket desk." It was the funniest thing I had ever heard. Even more funny was the fact that I was not allowed to carry the "banned substance" out of security on my own. He had to escort me to the entrance before handing it over.

I saw those rooms that you stayed at. I couldn't believe the garden suite rooms. I felt like I was looking at someone's home, those garden's look so original and beautiful. When we swam in that area, you would never know the Boardwalk was on the otherside, it was very peaceful.

Snowglobes-I guess it has something to do with the water. You can't bring any liquid substance over 4 ounces across security. When this went into effect, I know a lot of DIS members were yelling because their snowglobes broke in luggage. I don't know what would be better, to pack it carefully yourself in your luggage, or have WDW send it home for you. Our luggage was so beaten up, we had a huge rip in one of our cases. Inside our luggage we had the plastic that protects the handles completly shattered.

Wow, a precious moments convention?

On Fathers Day??

Your hubby must LOVE you!!

Whatever you do please don't mention the words "convention", "precious moments" and "Disney" in the same sentance when my DW is around. I'm broke enough as it is!

Great start to your report! Can't wait to read more.
