Hey guys!

We had to cancel our reservations the other day. It was a hard decision to make, but with budget cuts in education, my job is in line to get cut also my DS8 has a lot of medical problems and it just wasn't the right time to be away from him, he is getting ready to start some new medications and therapy and it is not cheap...

So it with tears in my eyes that I have to write this and let you know we wont be going.

But I do know you guys will have fun and we will hear all about it.

Kim, I am so sorry that you will not be joining us. I understand that family takes priority.

Somehow I think you'll be making an appearance, in spirit at least.

Ok, I had to recheck the list on page one because someone informed me their name wasn't there (I swear I put it there before - maybe the Tag Fairy took it away or something instead of giving me a new tag - mine are very old).

Anyhow, I took out Mommycerratops and added one, recounted and ... We're at 100!!!

I still have to verify that no one on the list has dropped out but for this one moment in time we are at 100!!!

At least you have tags. Over 5 years here and nothing......

Yea for hitting 100!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yes. I take Highway 417 to Highway 535 (Beachline) to the port. It takes a little more than an hour once you get out of Disney property. These are toll roads (need help for the exact amount but it wasn't more than $4-5). The other way to go is I4 to Highway 535 (Beachline). Personally I think there's more traffic this way, but the locals would know better on this. The way I go is the way that the DCL buses go.

The parking lot doesn't open until at least 10:00 am and sometimes not until 10:30 am.

Taking the 417 to the Beachline(538) is the way to go!! You avoid a lot of traffic this way.

I JUST BOOKED MY AIRFARE!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!

I got a good price from PIT to MCO, $79. MCO to PIT is another story. $178, ouch. But it is on a Sunday and at mid-day. Maybe there will be a price decrease or a Ding in the future. I just couldn't wait anymore to book the plane. If there is a savings in the next 2 or 3 months, I can use that for my Mousefest trip.

I booked mine 2 weeks ago. I booked through Delta because my MIL was using Frequent Flyer miles to buy one of our tickets as a gift and she had a coupon for a free companion ticket. I only had to buy 2 tickets and they were 178.00 RT with out all the taxes and fees.

Congrats on the airfare. I booked rental cars this week too. I really need to get a start on my FE but my Mom has to help me and my Grandma has been in the hospital and this weekend we were not sure if she was going to make it but she is a fighter. She is sitting up and off most of the stuff she was hooked up too and talking and fussing at us all.

Becky,

I need to get started on mine too. I am just debating the theme, which is being dependent on what Disney fabric I can find.

I hope your Grandma is feeling better soon.

UGH! I keep checking everyday with SW from Philly and nothing! Paitence, Smaitence.

Lauren- wow, what amazing photos!

and yeah- i made THE LIST!! who would have thought? :cool1:

and a few pages later- but Picard for me. Shatner a close second. I enjoyed TNG and DS9 probably most. Not a super trekkie- I haven't been to conventions or anything, but I have seen probably every episode and every movie a few times over. I love sci-fi. We also enjoyed the Star trek stuff at the Las Vegas hilton a few times too.

What dates are you flying, Jen? The weekend dates are not great. But if you can get at least one weekday in there it is a lot better.

Good for you - because of your post, I went back and checked my flight, and sure enough, the flights I booked last month went down. I called JetBlue and they credited my account!! Now I have a year from today's date to use the credit - I'm sure I will have no problem w/that since the 40% off resorts email I got is burning hole in my pocket!

Sat and Thurs. Since we are relying on Chris's mom to watch the kids and dogs, we are pretty limited. I would like to get on the first flight Sat. morning and in the afternoon on Thursday to come home.

I booked my flights when SW opened up the May dates, but I'm really discouraged at the rates - I keep checking but so far they haven't budged. Since my mom is watching my kids while I'm away and she is already stressing out over having to entertain them for two whole days (oh the horror!), I am having to book a later flight on Saturday than I really want to. I keep hoping they'll drop the fares or I can catch a Ding as we get closer....but on the plus side, I have my tickets!! :thumbsup2

i didn't have much luck with SW either out of Dallas. they had very limited times too. we found a slightly cheaper flight on AA and booked it a while back.

leaving DFW 5/8 at 7:45am, arrive MCO 11:15am (direct)
leaving MCO 5/14 at 2:05pm, arrive DFW 3:55pm (direct)

for $272 each- not bad for direct.

Jet Blue just released some great rates, I booked my brother and girlfriend flights the other day roundtrip to orlando from jfk was 198.00 a person, now a days that is the cheapest I have seen to Orlando

I am so sorry to hear this MommyC. :sad2:
I take it these are your FE gifts?

Of course...:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hear ya! I am going to wait them out. They have alway come through for me. SW is usually pretty cheap out of Philly. I know when I was looking at my Aug and Dec 08 trip SW consistently had $69 fares. I was so jealous, I had to spend $89 each way.

Those are pretty good prices. The one thing I like a bout SW is 2 checked bags. Their baggage policy is so liberal. You should have seen the size of some of those carry ons. The SW agents didn't bat and eye. :goodvibes That's really important for an over packer like me!
