I didn't even try to get pics of the fireworks NYE! I just wanted to stand back, watch, and savor the moment!!!

Woo hoo! Cruise neighbors. I've been looking at the Fish Extender post and it looks like several of us are fairly close together on deck 6:

kab407 6090
Dodie 6084
Shellyminnie & tiggerbell 6085
Becx N Gav 6087
kab407 6090
weaura 6094

Because there aren't staterooms listed on the main post, there may be even more of us!

:D
6532 and 6534 here........we will be ready to party!

those are pretty good pics of the fireworks- I am lucky to get something even close to that! beer or not. :rotfl:

Out of literally about 50 pictures, these three were the only fire works shots that came out halfway decent. I've got to try a tri-pod next time!

If you can, try increasing your ISO next time. It looks like it was set at 100, see if that helps you get a faster shutter speed and still let in enough light.

I'll do that, as soon as you tell me what an ISO is. :lmao: I love taking pictures, but know very little about cameras.

Here are a couple of my fireworks shots I got this year. They were hand held I think I had pushed the ISO to 1600. I want to try with the tripod next time.

I can suggest a great book called "understanding exposure" that covers the triangle of photography. ISO, shutter speed and f-stop (depth of field). Basically the higher the ISO the more light you can get into your camera faster, but you get a "grainier" picture.

Which day on the podcast cruise is the palo brunch?

Regular Palo brunch would be on our day at sea. That would be Wednesday. If you are talking about the Palo brunch that the team is working on, it has not been scheduled yet.

Do you happen to know what is the order of restaurants we would be eating on the cruise for the 4 days? (if there even is a set order ex Lumiere Monday, Tues Parrot Cay, Wed Animators etc) We would like to eat at Palo the night we are scheduled for Parrot Cay. We are 2 adults and we have the late seating....Thank you for all your help!

This will not be determined until you check in at the port. The rotations are:

Tritons (T) , Animators Palate (A), Parrot Cay (P)
TAAP
APPT
PTTA

Unfortunately, you won't know in advance for planning Palo.

are these rotations based on what type of party you consist of (for example parties with children would be assigned Animators 2 times while adults would be assigned to Tritons 2x) or is it completely random

They do try to keep like parties in the same rotation, but I'm not sure which rotation is which anymore (and I think it varies). My bet would be that PTTA would be the mostly adult rotation, but I have nothing to base that on.

Edited to add: Remember we are going to be looking at linking many if not all of you together so they will likely put us in the rotation that they need to fill.
