It's snowing like mad outside, but DH was out there putting new wiper blades on my car!

We just got home from our Meijer (thought of your adoration for the place, Todd!), the bank, and Lenscrafters!! I picked up my new glasses!!! I truly wasn't expecting them to come back so quick. I've got quite an astigmatism and I thought it would take them at least a week but they came back in about 3 days! They're really cute and really different than my last pair. I'll take a picture later...once i've had a chance to gussy myself up a bit. Must look cute before I can post a picture of myself you know...;)

Dara, sometimes its fun not to have everything planned. My last trip I had all of our ADR's planned. I thought I knew exactly where and when I wanted to eat. Well, I canceled about half of the ADR's. I was worried at first that we would not be able to find something at the last minute but we were fine. We kept the ADR's that could be hard to get, Narcoossee's, Crystal Place this was the day we went to MNSSHP so it was very busy, Chef De France this was the first weekend of F&W, Whispering Canyon is always busy. We went to Spirit of Aloha that was pre paid. The rest of the time we found a place we wanted to eat and ask if we could get in. At Kona she said an hour I was like sure we'll wait. She gave us our buzzer and it went off in 10 minutes. Don't have a bad feeling because everything is not planned relax and enjoy yourself:goodvibes :goodvibes

I totally agree. I made four reservations for our stay (10 nights). I really wanted breakfast at Kona before the cruise because we are at the Poly but I needed it early so I made an ADR. We have wanted to eat dinner at Boma and never found availability so we made one there. Since Sanaa is so new we figured we better make one there and wanted Jiko for our anniversary on the last night. If there was no availability we couldn't just go another night so we made an ADR. There are a number of other places I want to eat, but i figured we'll just play it by ear and figure out what we are doing when we get there.

I may or may not have asked this before... Is it possible to use Disney VISA Rewards $$ for excursions on CC? Specifically, for parasailing? I would think not but just thought I would toss it out there and find out for sure.

You can certainly use your Disney Visa Reward dollars for onboard account credits (this is where your excursions are charged). You cannot pay for anything (except tips and stamps on Castaway Cay) with reward dollars, cash, travelers checks or a credit card while on the ship or Castaway Cay but you can put any of these on your onboard account.

I'll admit it, I'm being completely lazy right now. But, when can we make our excursion reservations? I know it has something to do with the 23rd. Can't forget the date. It's my step-mom's 50th birthday, and she'll ALMOST be old enough to be my mother. :)

Guess what! I just decided right now that I'm going to have a meet this summer at my house. Who is in? Just thinking outloud and have to clear it with the wife 1, but I think I have enough room, a pool and a good yard to pull it off.

We could be in for just such a party.
However we will wait until after the cruise for the invite.
You might not like us by the time the cruise ends. :rotfl2:

We survived the last basketball game of the season. DD8 did a very good job. I was impressed with her abilities. She's never played basketball before. And while I played in school, soccer is the sport of this family because of DD11. If they called fouls at this level, DD would have fouled out along with the rest of her team.

Question on rules. When the other team had the ball and stopped dribbling, they'd stand and hold the ball. Our coaches kept yelling at our girls to take the ball away from them. Isn't that fouling? Are you allowed to grab the ball from the other player? We won't even discuss traveling, double-dribblng, and other broken rules :)

You are allowed to grab the ball from other players provided your to make contact with an arm in the process! Usually at that age they have a rule that you can not do that in order to keep some flow in the game.

Did not know that. Thanks. DD does a great job of stealing and rebounding. But, they did not work at ALL with the rule of contact with the person. Emilie actually has scratch marks on her face today from playing.

Yea, its a little crazy at that age. I coach a bunch of 8 yo kids also, and it is usually a few aggressive kids that dominate the game. That is why we won't let them steal the ball except on a pass. Its fun though, the rim is low and they use a small ball to make it much easier for them.

It is fun. She's enjoying something other than soccer. She likes to brag about the goals she makes, playing mid-field, and practice dribbling with her feet. This is all during basketball :) So she's a little confused. But, I'm glad she wants to try something else. DD11 only wants to play soccer. But, at least she's playing. She plays all year round and stays busy with it.

Time for a nap maybe.
I haven't even gotten dressed yet.
DH has a friend here, so it's my time to DIS.
The boy's each have a friend here.
So I won't be going anywhere until later.

So, let me make sure I'm understanding you right... Only your KTTW (or DCL equivalent) is used as payment onboard and on CC (except for tips/stamps when cash is expected). AND I can use the Disney VISA Rewards $$ to pay for whatever's on my onboard account. So, in answer to my question... I CAN use the rewards money to pay for my parasailing excursion.

Correct me if I'm mistaken.
