man, you guys are tough to keep up with- i just read the last 5 pages or so, i can't keep up and get my work done too. :confused3

Meijer? never heard of it. we have supertarget (spend way too much there), wally world of course and Kroger here. those are my favs. Tom Thumb is nice, too pricey.

oh and here, i call soda, 'coke', although i am specific most of the time now- places that don't carry coke, will still bring you a pepsi when i ask for a 'coke'. i HATE pepsi. so now i specifically ask- for coca-cola. :rotfl:

Let's talk about Pirate Night! pirate:

Are you dressing up? Homemade or store bought?

Deb and I got our base outfits yesterday. Weighed the pattern/make vs. buy option and we ended up buying. Now we need to add sparkly stuff. :goodvibes

Krogers and A&P went away from around here many years ago. We have Giant Eagle, or Jynt Iggle, in Pittsburghese. And different stores have different stuff. I despise Wal-mart. I love Tar-jey. They are supposed to build one very close to me. But the economy has put it off for a year.

Kim

Or as I have called it for years.

Yellow Death.

ETA..I see DW has already filled you in.

By the way, throw a little blue food coloring in.
Then no one will eat it.
A buddy used to do that so his brother wouldnt eat it all on him.
Same guy used to put blue food coloring in scrambled eggs as well, and have ham with it.

Oh, and KD is great with a little garlic salt/powder too.......mmmmmmmm

This may have to happen. Maybe for St. Patty's day?

It has its own little "following" up here. :lmao:

Congratulations on the "understatement of the year"

I use to wake up and have a coke. I have tea now and some days a Starbucks. I had to cut down on Starbucks. I replaced my soda habit with a Starbucks habit. I am down to 2 or 3 a week.

I used to drink Coke instead of coffee. Thankfully I had dental coverage for the torture that followed. I only drink Coke now if the coffee sucks and I need the caffeine to avoid a migraine. When mixing - caffeine free pepsi with vodka!

That is just fun to say. Lizard Lick. I live in Lizard Lick.:upsidedow
:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I had never heard of Publix till I started listing to the Podast. I have never been in one.

We had a large group on one trip so we took a FL Tours Limo from MCO to the Poly with a grocery stop. We stopped at Publix in a stretch limo. It struck me as really funny until I realized there were 2 limos in the parking lot. I approached the wrong one first!

Giant Favor to Ask of my Fellow Cruisers!!

If it's not too much trouble, I need all of y'all to pretend I didn't go to Mousefest this past year. It is sort of complicated but I didn't tell my parents that I was going to Mousefest and they still don't know and they will be on the cruise with us. (You would think a "29" year old wouldn't need to tell her parents where she went but my mom freaks if I don't tell her when I go out of town - don't ask.)

I'm not a very good liar so if it comes up at all and I can't distract my mother just say it was Mousefest 2007 (which I attended.) :rolleyes1
Any questions? :rotfl2:

Done. My Mom was in her 50's and had to argue with her 80-something year old father every time she was going on vacation as he didn't want her to go.

My cruise upgrade is paid off. Woooooooo!

:cheer2:

Lucky. Some of us have been here for 2.5 hours already.....:guilty: :guilty:

Remember I will still be here for 2.5 hours after you have gone home.:sad2:

When I went to Florida and had to explain what Meijer was, people kept asking me if it was like Wal-Mart. I was like, yeah, but SOOOO much better. Unfortunately in the last four years they have made some choices that align them more with Wal-Mart. :sad2: :sad1:

I have never heard of Meijer till now.

My cruise upgrade is paid off. Woooooooo!

Base outfits? And sparkly stuff? You didn't strike me as the sparkly stuff kind of guys George...Unless you talked Deb into wearing a pirate version of Brandie's sparkly bra:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Mmmmm...I add a bit of mustard or mustard powder to my mac n cheese...

Just to let everyone know that 1 cup of prepared/cooked mac n cheese is 6 points on the weight watcher chart.
For 6 points I can have 3 ozs. chiken breast, 1 cup cooked can corn, and half a 8oz. baked patato.
I don't think it will ever taste good enough to consome again. :rotfl2:

I have a pirate outfit I made from last year's P&PP, DD wants me to make her something - I think Grandma needs to step up here as I am running out of time. This working for a living can really get in the way of life!
DH is on the fence about dressing up so what's the consensus here? I have the pattern - I can (or Grandma maybe) whip up a pirate shirt for him too.

I'll be in my "Pirates get more booty" t-shirt! maybe wear the "doo-rag" they give you at dinner.

If that is the kind with powdered cheese, just how bad is the kind with the squeeze cheese?

Just thought I would say that I have enough material left over form my FE to make both DS pirate vests out of the Pirates of the Carribean material, and with any luck 2 skull caps.
We will not be dressing up but I thought this would be fun for both of them.

I was a pirate for Halloween (mostly so I could use it for pirate night on the cruise) so I will reuse that costume.
