We did room service breakfast every morning on our cruises. I'm not fit to be with people until after I've had my coffee. It's so nice to be able to get breakfast and coffee right in the room. Especially if you have a veranda. That's a great place to drink your coffee.

We would usually order a cheese platter or two in the afternoons. Sometimes a Mickey Bar or some cookies as a latenight snack.

Room service is awesome. Just remember to tip the deliverer a couple of bucks when they bring your food.

Howdy, guys. Just got back from WDW last night. (It was COLD down there!) No DISing for the past 10 days. What've I missed? I am so tired and just don't have the energy to read all these pages.... not to mention the last pages from 'FOUR sure'.

Welcome back Dara! Tell us all about your trip.:goodvibes

We stayed at POR in the Alligator Bayou section. Building 24. WEST Bus Depot. I would stay here again but ONLY in the buildings closer to the lobby/marina. It took about 8-10 minutes to walk from the lobby to our room. Not something you want to do each time you wanna refill the mug. The resort is beautiful though. The WL is my favorite so I knew I would like the AB section of this resort. Bus transportation was good leaving the resort but a PAIN in the rear when trying to get back. It was very cold most of the trip. It did warm up to the low 70's the last couple of days. It was so cold that lots of folks were wearing coats, hats and gloves in the parks! We just did the 4 main parks. No water parks. Earl of Sandwich was AWESOME. Yummy tomato soup and Turkey Club. We also ate at: Boma (breakfast/dinner), Citricos, Wolfgang Puck Express, Celebration Town Tavern, Columbia Harbor House, Electric Umbrella, Beaches & Cream, ABC Commissary, Garden View Lounge (Afternoon Tea), the counter service at Yak & Yeti and Riverside Mill at POR. (That's all I can think of at the moment.) It was me, DD11 and DM61. I'll post a pic or 2 later on. Any questions? *yawn*

I would never have thought to order a snack from room service like that. My parents would never have dreamed of that when we travelled. Once I got married we tried room service for meals here and there...

BUT IT'S FREE. That's the difference here. IT'S INCLUDED. It's WONDERFUL (no pun intended).

What souvenirs did you buy? :)

All I bought was one of the large glass Mickey head ornaments. I had it personalized with "February 2009" and pixie dust on both sides ($28.71). I get one of these for each trip. Try not to get the same one more than once though. So far so good. Not sure I'll be able to keep it up as I'm running out of designs that I like. This time I got this one....

How's that for saving some mullah? DD11 had $80 and only spent about $50 on new pins. That's it. We're saving up for the cruise!! Then we're gonna get CRAZY. Just kidding. I'm being cautious right now.

Oh, and I guess I can add the refillable mug as a souvenir. It was $13.84.

I forgot about the Main Street Bakery. I had my first French Toast Loaf. I'll be getting this again. ::yes:: DD11 got the Chocolate muffin. It was very good too. :thumbsup2

Oooooo....pretty....:goodvibes

Yum. Now I'm hungry!

Tell me about it. I'm starving! I haven't had anything decent to eat since Boma yesterday morning. I'm going to the kitchen right now to see what I can scrounge up....

Beautiful!

yum, mickey bars...we had those almost every night. Also, first thing I do when I get to my room is order two cheese platters and we ordered room service breakfast almost every morning. Bring lots of ones...no George not for that...for tipping room service delivery.

For that it would be $5's. ;)

You know you're not on vacation anymore when a meal is a V8 and a Nature Valley Pecan Crunch bar. :sad2:

I am staying at POR after the cruise. Do they have the preferred room their like they have at the value resorts? Because if they do it sounds like it is worth it to spend the extra money. I stayed at All Star music for a night a couple of years ago and we were in the second to the last building in the back. It was quite a walk to the main building.
