Well we were supposed to be landing in Orlando right about now, but, we are back at JFK.... About 10 minutes after takeoff, the pilot came on and told us the plane had engine trouble and he had to turn around and land the plane back at the airport. Needless to say, we were quite upset and nervous. He landed the plane successfully, and we had many cars from the NYPD and Fire Dept trucks waiting for us to land

We have now deplaned and are waiting for them to get us on another plane.
Thank goodness we didn't have anything planned for today, as the day is shot.

I'm just hoping that we get on the next plane soon and get there safely.
NOW I need a drink.

You are right about that We usually go to Chicago for fun and Detroit to Fly. I do like the Henry Ford though.

I am having a tough time this morning....sick to my stomach about leaving the kids for the first time, and completely sure I am going to forget something important and we will not get on the ship.

me too- it is sort of bittersweet, knowing i am leaving my little boy behind for so long. oh yeah, and DH too.

Is 7am a popular time for flights? You and Mindy are 7am tomorrow, I am 7am Sunday.....just sayin.

I used it and made the suggested two copies of the contract. One for the agent and one for the car. I'm all set hopefully.

I had cancelled a previous Budget rental last month and yesterday got a reminder of the confirmation. Had to go back online and cancelled it again even though I had a confirmation of the previous cancel. I called Budget-MCO to confirm it was cancelled just in case.

i had the same thing happen to me- i had cancelled with Budget last month, but still got a confirmation email from them and they had me freaked out, but it was in fact cancelled. i had to doublecheck. i guess they have some kinks in the email system that doesn't push our the cancellations and still confirms them. i am all checked in with Alamo!

i'll wait to check in for our flight in the am- we get there early and i want to see if Exit row is available- they only let you do that at check in at the kiosk (AA).

yeah, what is SPR?

so last few errands are DONE- small long shoulder strap purse bought and lime green mickey tags for my backpack/purse done! now just a few more hours of work and we leave the house in 14 hours. can't wait.

i am too excited to work- do you think they will understand? I hope to get out of here early and spend a little quality time with DS at the park before desserting him for 7 days!

Not with Southwest. They don't pre-assign seats. It's done by boarding groups. Group A, B, and C...and then each group is divided even further by number. It just means that they are in the first boarding group!

Howdy, everyone!!

Guess where I am!!

We just checked into the Swan and we were offered a complimentary upgrade. We are in a resort view room now with a balcony. We're pretty much facing the back of the Boardwalk resort. Gonna go walk around a bit. The fam wants to go swim in the pool too. Gonna go to Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ later for dinner. We ate lunch at Earl's (Earl of Sandwich). YUM! The HRH was awesome over at US. Gotta say it was much nicer than the Swan. DH didn't think US was as nice as WDW but we still had a good time. We coulda stayed there 2 more days though. Just went from attraction to attraction without exploring much else. Ok. Gotta go now. Just wanted to pop in and say HOWDY! See you guys in a coupla days!! I'll check back in later this evening. BYE!
