First evening meal for 2 as Mr & Mrs

I am starting to think about where to have an intimate dinner for 2 after our wedding as the whole thing is just going to be the 2 of us. Any ideas?

While I have never been there, I have heard that dinner at Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian is one of the most romantic resturants on Disney's property. If romance is your style then it is probably a safe bet for you.

If you can get a reservation then I think the California Grill or Narcoosee would be good because you can see the fireworks. Of course, getting the reservation for that time is the challenge.

Another good one is Yachtsman Steakhouse. A little off of the BW in the Dolphin is Shula's - good as well.

Of course, there is always Citricos, next to V&A.

BTW you can wear your dress at the restaurants if you want to.

V&A is always good. Went there in July of this year.

I would call and make a reservation through ADR and then call the restaurant to talk to the manager about your dinner and let them know that it's your day.

We are having our first meal alone as man and wife at Ciny's Royal Table. Our ressie is right before the fireworks begin so that we can see them through the windows. We did this last year and it was a romantic highlight for the trip. We couldn't think of anything better

We went to San Angel Inn!! We got to sit at a table for two..right in front by the water in the middle...so romantic!! I love Mexican food and we had a great time going there for our first night to enjoy Illuminations as well.

I loved the San Angel Inn the last time we visited! Unfortunately that was the only place we got to have dinner at Epcot. Can anyone recommend any other nice restaraunts in the World Showcase?

We knew we would not be too hungry after our lunch reception so we planned a totally casual dinner. We wanted to see the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks that night. So we put on our Bride and Groom ears and headed to the Magic Kingdom. We had chicken fingers and french fries at the Tomorrowland Terrace. Then watched the fireworks (we had seen the fireworks the night that we got engaged) then went to the Outer Rim at the Contempory to join friends for drinks. Then we got up at dawn for our MK photos (day after the wedding) and spent most of the day with family. That night we went to the Coral Reef with my family. The 1st night of our honeymoon in Paris we had a very very late dinner at a little restaurant near the Effiel Tower. So what I would recommend is go to a place that fits your personality if you want to. We were a bit crazy and had quick service. But it is a fond memory almost 5 years later. But then we had nice dinners for the most of our honeymoon!

I would suggest Jiko at AKL. DH and I love the food there and the service is always top notch.

I dont think anyone has suggested this yet, my apologies if they have! But if you're looking for a REALLY intimate type of thing, maybe you could see if you could set something up with Grand Floridian private dining? I know they do meals where you sit on the beach and you have a butler and all of this other stuff. I think that almost anywhere on the Grand Floridian grounds you can have an intimate meal. I'm not sure how much any of it costs however...

A note on this: If you tell GF private dining that it is a post-wedding dinner, they may not allow you to set it up. It's the very strict rule they have for the Intimates not being allowed to hold a reception. I believe this is because they want to keep a very clear distinction between the offerings for Intimates and Customs.

You may be successful if you do not mention your wedding. However, there has been at least one case where a planned event after an Intimate wedding with GF has been cancelled when DFTW found out about it.

What you can definitely do, if you are staying at GF, is order private dining to your room. Not just your standard room service, but I think with the butler to serve and everything. If it's possible to get a room with a view of the castle, you can dine on the deck and see the fireworks, too! How romantic would that be?!?

I just responded in another thread about other dinner options and mentioned the California Grill and Cinderella's Royal Table. I have read that CRT will present you with toasting glasses if you mention that you have just been married.

Doodles- I believe intimates can have dessert parties? not sure but I believe so....and you can serve food as well. There may however be an issue with wedding attire? I am sure some of the initmate brides here can help you with ideas. Good luck

Intimate brides can have dessert parties and can wear their dress into the parks as long as they provide transportaion (ie. town car, charter bus , or limo) to backstage Epcot and will be escorted to their party location. Small groups under 20 can use Morroco and Japan. 25 or more can use the UK.

It may seem unfair but that is the main difference between an intimate and custom ceremony. There really are plenty of options, they are just not private.

I dont think it would matter if you said it was taking place after your wedding if it was for just you and your groom. I really don't see where that could be called a reception.

We were also told that as an Intimate wedding, you CAN have a dessert party, but your guest list cannot exceed 20 people, just like the reception. My wedding planner would not bend in that aspect.

And as for the private dining, yes I believe you can call the Grand Floridian and then ask to be connected with private dinning and they can set it all up for you!
