Hey All,

We fly into CDG on Sunday 18th November at 5pm (French). My aim is to have BStranports pick us up and transport us to Seq. Lodge. Based on previously experiences I think we could be onsite sometime after 6pm.

My intention for the trip was to purchase APs at the gate - probably on the Monday morning. However, with the park open 'late' that on the Sunday evening and this being the last day that POTC is open during our visit I'm now keen to get entry into the park on the Sunday evening.

Now in reality it's gonna be near to impossible to do the AP purchasing thing on the Sunday - and make use of the time in the park etc.

FYI - The 5 of us have all had AP Dreams previously - which expired back in June.

What options are available to me to be able to get into the park on the Sunday etc?.

Can I purchase the 'full' APs in advance given that the AP office should have our pictures etc on record from previous?.

In the past I've read about people purchasing AP's in advance being given an temporary pass which was good for the first entry, but needed to be converted into a full AP once used. Given the timings this isn't really going to be pratical.

Also - if I can purchase the 'full' APs in advance when would the 1 year period start - from first use, or around date of issue?.

Many Thanks

Iain

I have made a few comments below - hope they help

I think you can renew them by posting them off but maybe someone else could say for sure? Might have to have been before the last ones expired?

In the past I've read about people purchasing AP's in advance being given an temporary pass which was good for the first entry, but needed to be converted into a full AP once used. Given the timings this isn't really going to be pratical.

We paid for our annual passes at guest services, and were given an temporary pass to get into the park that night. The annual pass office was closed, so we had to go back to guest services the next morning and show our temporary annual passes, and we got in and got them sorted. didnt really take that long

Also - if I can purchase the 'full' APs in advance when would the 1 year period start - from first use, or around date of issue?.
I would think from the date of issue

Many Thanks

I think I've read somewhere that if you buy in advance .They begin the day they are validated (ie first used)

Now in reality it's gonna be near to impossible to do the AP purchasing thing on the Sunday - and make use of the time in the park etc.
I guess there won't be any queues at the cashiers, so you could easily buy your APs there (4 bought, a 5th will be free); doesn't take longer than buying normal day tickets as you'll receive temporary [non-personal] APs to be exchanged later. They're also available at several shops which isn't helpful for you at all.

In this case you should definitely ask before if you can exchange them on your second day then (AP office might still be open, but I hope they'll understand you don't want to do this as your only and last ride for that day...). As far as I know the temp. ones are valid for a specific time period; but I'm not sure if they just can be used once in this period.

BUT...

Can I purchase the 'full' APs in advance given that the AP office should have our pictures etc on record from previous?
Easy answer: yes you can. Just request the AP brochure or »download it here. It's french, but you'll be able to handle it. With the form on the back you can order your APs, either here you'll get 20% off for ordering 5 or more APs.

It takes about 3 weeks to receive them, and starting date can be applied for to be up to 1 month in advance.

There are other ways to do the online mailorder I put on the AP »wiki page, but using the order form in this case is just the smartest way as you will receive the final APs and have no need to see the AP office at all.

Cheers!

Thanks your replies.

As the park is open until 8pm on the Sunday (1st day), one of my concerns was - under normal circumstances when would the park stop admitting new visitors AND close the ticket sales booths.

Cubitus - your reponses certainly gives me the impression that this concern shouldnt be a problem. Is there a point in time when I should be concerned that the plan isn't going to work? (it's a question which really leads back to the initial statement above our Ticket Booths being closed etc).

I know from Cubitus's answer that I could order the AP's, but I realise that whilst I'd receive the 20% Family discount (all 5 of us are family, living at the same address), I'd not receive the additional 15% Shareholder discount.

I think I'll drop ask around / email DLRP Guest Communications to see how long the temporary AP pass is valid for. Having said that Shell820810's reply seems to suggest that I should be able to get away with sorting the Passports out the next day.

Thanks again folks!.

This would indeed be interesting to know. As far as I recognized during the day the number of open booths simply decreases, but there's always a booth open (Disney would be silly to refuse any willing-to-pay visitor to buy the tickets). There are always enough CMs at the turnstiles who will probably send you to some place taking your money :)

But if someone knows more, please! I'm curious too!

whilst I'd receive the 20% Family discount (all 5 of us are family, living at the same address), I'd not receive the additional 15% Shareholder discount.
Yes and no. It's definitely possible to combine family and SH discount on Fantasy and Dream (even you mix them as it seems). This is confirmed in the list of »SH benefits.

I was talking about a general 20% discount that's nowhere stated except on the order form and by CMs practicing. The usual habit with this is that it cannot be combined. Definitely a question to be answered by Guest Communications! Probably you just have to claim the SH discount with the normal order form (by sending your SH no. or a copy of your card with the paperwork).

Please let us know how things turned out to work best!

Cheers!

Three years ago I and my wife arrived at the park quite late (I don’t remember the exact time, probably it was about 5pm), and all ticket booths were closed.
So we asked to a cast member at the turnstile and he suggested the Guest Relations window (located to the right of the main entrance), where we bought our first Annual Pass!
First thing inside we went to AP office and change the temporary pass with the real one, and enjoyed the last hours in the park (once upon a time, there was a park that never closed before dusk...)
