After orginally taking the sales tour with Marc Turner at Hilton Head in 1998, I finally purchased 150 points from him at SSR.
Our first trip will be in July 2004. I did call first thing the morning of December 1st and made a reservation at SSR for a 2 bedroom.
Now that we are within the 7 month window, we are considering canceling that reservation and switching to a 2 Bedroom at BCV.
My thoughts concerning this switch from SSR to BCV are:
1) We will always be able to stay at SSR over the next 49 years.
2) As more SSR units are sold in the upcoming years, there will be more competition for the limited number of BCV units at 7 months.
3) I assume that there may be a better opportunity to switch to BCV this year due to other DVC owners wanting to try new SSR.
4) We can & will go to SSR and be able to see the models rooms.
5) Our 2 preteen girls & their 2 older teenage brothers will really love the SAB mini-waterpark pool area. We saw in it June 2002.
6) At this point, we are still hoping to be able to pool hop at SSR, which we know that we could not do at SAB also if staying at SSR.
7) Unlike our last WDW trip in 2002, which was a commando type schedule, we are not planning any Disney theme park visits this trip, so we'll have more time to enjoy the SAB pool & Boardwalk.
If there is nothing available at BVC, I'll be very happy staying at SSR, but wanted to see if we had a chance to try BCV and SAB.
Any comments or suggestions on whether making this switch makes sense. I have appreciated all of your helpful expertise.
