First DVC Trip in April - What Should I Know & Prepare?

I was going to ask that myself! Our first DVC trip will be this October at AKV. Can' t wait !

We're going to AKV in October too! It's the perfect time of year! We love Wine and Food Fest -- daughter loves Halloween party!

There are plenty of trash bags in the room. Just look underneath the full one. They are usually in the bottom of the basket and can. You can also just call down to housekeeping for them too.

Yeah, but they're made of tissue paper and they're big enough to hold about two tissues....

By "regular" coffee filters, do you mean cone or basket shaped? VERY important to have our extra bold roast in the morning....first thing!

Wine and food fest is a must (hit it twice on other trips). Will arrive on Halloween (that party is great) and head back election day. Waitlisted for conceriage, maybe that will come through. Although it might spoil me.

As a L.I.'er myself (Williston Park/Commack/Hicksville) may I ask where abouts you are?

We bring ziplock sandwich bags, always a use for those, whether it be to bring snacks for the kids or to stuff any leftovers. Also I bring one of those skirt hangers that have like 8 clothespin type things on them. I hang the wet bathing suits on that, it's easier to move them when it's time to take a shower. Also, a little package of clorox wipes (I saw a tv expose once on how filthy tv clickers are and I am paranoid now about wiping them down first, lol!). When the kids were younger I used to bring a couple of their favorite videos (or dvds).

I love your idea on the clothespins and skirt hanger! I just packed some!

Also I can't believe we would need to bring our own Toilet paper!
