First DL Trip 6/27-7/3 Need Advice!

We are going to DL 6/27-7/3 (dates are not flexible) and will be staying at the Candy Cane Inn. We arrive from San Diego the afternoon of 6/27. From reading the boards (thanks Hydroguy-your links are invaluable!) I realize the crowds will be crazy. Since I am a planner (go to WDW with speadsheets) I need advice with a touring strategy. We are park people and want to see it all but hate waiting in long lines. Would also like to fit in Universal and Knotts Berry. Thanks for the suggestions!

Unfortunately you will not get SoCal AP blockouts the entire time you are there ("Understanding AP Blockouts and Impact on Crowds" http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2365983). But the SoCal Select APs will be blocked which will help a little. It will be extremely crowded. Visiting DLR on weekdays may help a little. With that you should use good summer strategies ("Getting The Most Out of a Summer Visit To DLR" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1345319) and get a nearby hotel (like CCI). And buy RideMax if you need help with touring - www.ridemax.com. You can still have a lot of fun so do not get discouraged. Just be prepared!
