I will be going to HKDL on either January 22 or 23rd.
I see the 23rd is the first day of HKDL celebrating Chinese New Years.

Is it worth going? Does the park do anything special? I see the characters will be in different outfits. Does any of the normal entertainment get replaced?

Only curious as to which day I should go.

Thanks,

Doug

Have a great trip.

It might be worth checking the HKDL website or ringing them to find out.

I haven't been to HKDL during CNY but you would imagine that there could be something else offered during this time. If nothing else, there should be some CNY merchandise or pins on offer.

I was there for CNY in 2009.

They gave out "gold mickey coin" chocolates, and had some of the traditional acrobatic dragon shows in some places.

There were a LOT of "mainlander" Chinese there, and the friends who were with me from Hong Kong didn't like that. (apparently there's a major etiquitte difference)
