I just got the tickets for MNSSHP for the night of our first full day of our stay. My plan was to go to Epcot during the day, take a short break in the afternoon, eat dinner at 5ish and then head over to MK for the MNSSHP. It just dawned on me, though, that when we go to MK for MNSSHP, it will be my dd's (4.5 and 3) first time there and I'm wondering if their awe and excitement of the castle, and the place itself, will take away from the MNSSHP...does that make any sense??? Should I change my plans and spend that day at the MK instead so they have a chance to see the place before all the Halloween festivities start? Or am I just being silly and a just a little bit OCD perhaps???? This is our first trip  so I would appreciate any/all suggestions and advice...thanks so much!!

I had the same concern, the exact one so I decided that we would do MNSSHP on our "day off" Ava will have gone to Mk by then and we will be rested from doing nothing. We arrive on a sat and are going on thursday to the party.

We were just trying to figure out the same thing, and we decided to wait until our fifth full day to do MNSSHP rather than doing it on our first full day. We simply thought it would be nice to start out a little more "normal" and then kick things up a little bit halfway through the trip. I'm convinced you can't go wrong either way, though. Don't sweat it.

This is how we're handling it with my nieces. My sister and brother in law wil be joining me with my two nieces (ages 4 & 6). We're doing MNSSHP on a Sunday and the plan is to either hang out at the resort or do a water park early in the day and then let them rest up and take a nap before heading to MNSSHP.

We're doing MNSSHP on our 1st day there and it will not only be my kids first time to the park, but my 1st time as well.

I think that after seeing it all Halloweened up the 1st time, it will make it that much more special when we see it regular. It will still be amazing because it's different1
