Flew in today, arrived at DL around 11:30, what a great day! Everything we went on today had 10-15 minute waits. So excited about that! My kids have never been here before, and the coolest thing happened to my son. We were riding the Disneyland train, talking to a cast member, and somehow it came up that my sons birthday is next month. After chatting awhile, he asked if he wanted to be an honorary conductor and sit up front w/the engineers for one trip around the park. I thought that was very cool, and so did he! Excited for our next 4 days here: )

Wow! Great story! I hope this is but the first of many magical memories to come! DL is our special family place! Each and every time we see a little more and or have a new magical moment!

Some of our favorites:
Riding the Monarail in the front car!
Seeing the fireworks from the Storybook boats!
Eating a giant sundae from the secret ice cream place on Main Steet. (Back behind the fruit cart!
Free coffee refills all day with your receipt at the Coffee house on Main!
Last minute shopping at World of Disney in DTD with our 20% AP discount!!
People watching just about everywhere! I love to see the little (and big) kids reactions to the simplest things!
DD 8 eating a huge turkey leg all by herself! She swears CA ones are better than DL ones!
Fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce from Adventureland!

Have a blast! Be ready to want to come back again and again!!

*sigh* I am so jelous. I wish I was going to DL soon. We LOVE Disneyland. I guess I can look forward to putting up our Disney tree. I collected almost all of the storybook ornaments and we decorate a tree just in disney. My DS6 loves it. Sure hope you have tons of fun.

Head over to the Mark Twain and ask the CM if your kids can go up to the wheel house with the captain and help 'steer' the ship around rivers of America. They let the kids blow the whistle or ring the bell too.
