Hi All,

We are arriving on Friday, Dec. 5th - but unfortunately our plane doesn't land until 5:15pm.

From all the great info I've read - I'm estimating it will be 6:30ish before we check in!

I'd love to MK our first night, even if just for a short visit, but I think I read somewhere that it closes at 7:00 that night.

We are travelling with DD7 and DS5 - is it worth it to maybe head over to Epcot or should we just plan on exploring the hotel that evening - we're staying at ASMo

Any thoughts?

it is probably the christmas party that night and that is why the early park closure . I would either go to the party or just go somewhere else. I think your times might be optomistic. We had about a 2 hour window between the time we arrived at MCO and the time we arrived at our hotel.

Hi,
According to the Disney Website they are closing at 7 because of the Christmas parade. Imho if you have some extra cash I would get the tickets and enjoy a night at the MK w/ all the wonderful christmas decorations and parade! Its a great time and I dont think you would be disappointed! :)

Happy planning!!! :cheer2:

I would think for us it would depend if you wanted to go to the Rope drop on the 6th. If you plan to get up early on your first full day get some rest. Maybe a trip to DTD for a dinner and a bit of shopping are in order, or a night at the hotel. Dont wear yourselves out by going to hard before you even get your vacation started. It is very easy to do and we did it a few yeard ago and it made us so tired the whole trip.

We are also going to arrive later in the day on our first day (Sept 12). We will be arriving at our resort around 5pm, so we have decided to just take that evening to relax at the pool and just hang out at the resort so we can start out fresh at the parks the next morning.:thumbsup2 ASM looks like a fun resort so you may have a good time just exploring it. Hope you have a great time with whatever you decide to do!:cool1:

Hello,
We are supposed to arrive about 4:15 at the airport. I'm hoping to be able to get to the MK around 7ish. MK will have it's EMH for the day we are there. How long does it take to get from the airport, check in, and get to the MK?

If you are taking ME, I would plan on about 2 hours from landing to hotel. Check in would probably be another 30 mins to an hour depending on line and how long you linger. Maybe another 30 mins or so to get from hotel to MK on the bus. You would probably end up looking close to 8ish. I wouldn't waste a full day park pass on the 4 or so hours you would get unless you are at the point where the extra day is only another 2 bucks.

We will be arriving late also on Oct 5th. What we have decided to do is get dinner either at the hotel or DTD. Then maybe some shopping if we do to DTD or go back to the hotel and explore.

This way the magic is not lost, but we don't have to burn a park entry on just a few hours.

check and see what park, if any, are open for the extended hours. we arrived around 5pm and had time to check in and spend plenty of time at epcot!

By the time you get to the Resort and get checked in and settled in your room etc.. you will be hungry. It will be several hours by the time you get to the resort and get checked in. I would either plan to eat at the resort and explore or to head to Downtown Disney and eat there and do some shopping.

I generally don't waste a day on a ticket for that short of an amount of time, and I don't think I would want to risk buying nonrefundable Christmas Party tickets. If your flight is delayed or has to be rescheduled due to weather or other issues you could end up missing it.

By keeping thigs more relaxed you can plan to make it an early morning the next day and get a running start! :)
