First date.

My bf & I had never met in person prior to our first date. We went to a local tourist area and walked around, went to some museums and had a nice casual lunch. The date lasted for probably 8 hours lol. It was very fun. I think I wore jeans, sandals and a dressy-ish black tank type shirt that ties around the neck. It was like, 95 out that day though. He wore jeans and a tshirt with a bunch of comic book characters on it.

Don't go there, lol.

Sorry-this is a warning sign to me. A guy drives to get a girl on the first date. No matter what kind of vehicle they drive!

My DH actually had a minor wreck on the afternoon of our first date, He then got a ride to the town 20 miles away where his grandmother lived to borrow her car to take me out.

Um... It's not 1956. My exbf (not that I'm defending him ) did not even own a car. I drove everywhere. His lack of a car was not why we split up. There were numerous reasons we split up, but his lack of wheels just wasn't one of them.

My bf & I both drove to where our first date was. And brace yourself, I PAID for lunch. He offered to, but I insisted. I'm not comfortable with men paying for dinners and such for me on a first date.

Currently my bf's car is in the shop. We're supposed to go away in 2 days which means I will likely work a full day, drive an hour and 20 mins to pick him up and then drive us all the way to our destination and then drive him back late the night we get back. Seems better than cancelling our trip just so he can be a proper man and drive lol.

I prefer being the driver anyway.

We went to the pirate museum and I voluteered to be hanged when they asked for a volunteer lol...

(in hindsight, that probably didn't make him think the date was going very well )

He wore that t shirt because he knew I liked comic books & we picked a comic book store as our meet up spot.

We've been together for a year now.

On our first date DH and I met at the Natural History Museum then went for a walk down some nature trails here in town. It was raining and we got soaked. Our first kiss was in the bat cave of the museum. We just did a sort of replay of our first date on Friday since it was the anniversary of when we first met. We went to lunch and to the museum. It was storming (imagine that) so no nature trails.

still no clue what were gonna do after dinner LOL. Our town SUCKS for date places. Its not a big deal that he cant drive up here. I have to go up to his town anyways (my family lives there) and I have a appoiment anywho. It works out better for me to drive up there than him to come here.
