First cruise-MNSSHP night before or after cruise?

We did the party the night before a cruise a few years ago and I really regretted it. We did have 2 kids who were 6 and 8 at the time. They were OK, but I was exhausted the day we got on the ship. I think I'd feel differently if they were teens or if it was a group of adults though.

Definitely thinking I want to do it night after.

Thanks everyone! Been to Disney many times but new to cruising.. so much to learn! I can see us grabbing QS stuff like that every morning actually, or room service. Totally not morning people! Will be off bright and early for any excursions or Castaway Key but adding a breakfast before that is a bit much for us- LOL!

Yes, that's why included the info about the last morning breakfast. You said that this was going to be your first cruise.

Breakfast option on the other days are going to be room service (only continental breakfast though), the full buffet at Cabanas, sit down service at Royal Palace (or its Court on the Dream?) (no time constraint, just come whenever you want during their opening hours) and possibly a slightly smaller buffet at Enchanted Garden. On my last Fantasy cruise they also had some breakfast offerings at the pool deck counter service places. And then the Cove Cafe (adult only speciality coffee place) offers croissants and other small breakfast pastries. And for the adults I guess you could include Palo brunch in the breakfast offerings ($ 30 upcharge).

On the last day there are very limited options: Sit down breakfast in the dining room where you had dinner the night before at an assigned seating time or a limited buffet in Cabanas. It is all about trying to feed everyone on the ship in the most efficient way to get the ship cleared of the old cruisers by 9am.
