Yep - I spotted a house tonight with their Christmas lights up.

And they are not just left up from last year. I pass this house going to my sister's home all the time. They weren't there on Friday.

Wow, we put ours up the day after Thanksgiving (well...except last year since I was in the hospital having my c-section LOL)! I just put out my Halloween stuff on the first. I didn't want to decorate too soon, but maybe I am behind if Christmas lights are going up LOL!

 :earseek: <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_73.gif' alt='Christmas Tree' border=0></a>

I like seeing Christmas lights up all year around, guess cause I love Christmas. I know of some businesses here that have their Christmas lights on all year.
Sandy, I always like seeing your cute smiles.

Hmm maybe they are osbourne wanna bes :) ya know hes already installing some of his stuff at the court houses or at least starting the prep work:)

i noticed wed that childrens hospital already had thiers lit up testing bulbs etc:)

Froggy always teases me about putting up lights then he gets up and tries to outdo osbourne. We usually put ours up the day after halloween.

Probably shouldn't admit this, but we once left our biggest Christmas tree up for 2 years! It was a 12 footer and was all decked out in Victorian decorations. Actually, friends bet us $1000 that we wouldn't leave it up for a year. We won the money and a different set of friends made the same bet for us to leave it up for another year. They didn't pay! We haven't had this particular tree up in about 4 or 5 years now. It's sooo much work for a tree that size and I like everything on it "just so". Probably won't go up this year either as we're heading north for some snow! :teeth: Well, the point I was getting around to was that one Christmas we were first in town (obviously!) having our tree up.

Oh, Froggyswife....nice to see you here! Your DH is very well thought of and adds lots of fun to the boards. I'm sure you will, too! ::yes:: :teeth:

I don't even know where our Christmas lights are. I am just now putting out mums!

We are having 75 degree weather here. It's endless summer as far as I'm concerned. Not Christmas weather at all.

I usually put our up Thanksgiving week..but not black friday, oh no no, that day is for SHOPPING!!
I actually just hung my halloween lights up this weekend and decorated the yard and windows for halloween!!

As much as I love Christmas, that's too early for me.

Are they lighting them yet?

I actually think that putting them up now, when the weather is warmer, is better than standing out there in late November/early December when it's freezing, and you have to wear gloves and you can't get the lights untangled and it's windy, and they are blowing all over the place.

I am going to try (probably unsuccesfully!) to get my DH to put them up now on the bushes, and then when it comes time to light them in early December, all you have to do is plug them in!

Not putting up lights, cooking or doing nuffin this year for Xmas! Woo-Hoo! Me and Wifey will be sunning our buns in St.Thomas Christmas day.

SEE THE COUNTDOWN! :D

I'd have to assume they just put them up to take advantage of the weather before the snow/cold starts. As long as they don't lite them till after Thanksgiving, then it OK.

Anyone else like to drive around Thanksgiving night and look at the lights? (That's usually the first time they are lite around here.)

This should be illegal until after Thanksgiving.. :smooth:

Yes they are lit. The whole house is outlined. I can see starting early because that is quite a job. I'll check to see if they are lit every night. Maybe they were just testing?

They are definitely not trying to put them up before the snow and cold hits - this is Arkansas. It's still to hot to be out there on a ladder if you ask me.
