Hi all,
oh I'm so frustrated with first choice at the moment!
In June I altered our aug 08 booking to aug 09, hoping they would transfer everything over as they have done for us before. Ah but they have a new booking system for next year and so the old and new systems won't talk to each other, so I had to cancel my old booking with refund of deposit and make new booking and new low deposit, with full deposit due this thursday. Easy. NO!!
My credit card for the original deposit has been closed as there was some fraudulent activity on (5 x i-tunes online, only for about £100 total) so the bank replaced it with new account, so first choice sent me a form to fill in with old card number and new card number for refund to go through.
I was patient and waited until 2 weeks ago and rang them again, and a lovely girl took all my details again and said it would be done immediately and would be on my account by last monday at the latest. NO.
Rang them again this morning and spoke to 4 diff people, one foreign girl told me I needed a confirmation letter from my bank, the next uk based girl said that was rubbish but then lost me in the phone system. I have just fired off an email to them saying I will go to trading standards if they haven't sorted this by wed this week, as they owe me £560 but say if I don't pay £480 new deposit by thursday my booking will be cancelled but I'll still owe the deposit.
AGAIN - THEY HAVE MY MONEY, WHY THE HELL CAN'T THEY JUST TRANSFER IT???!!!!! AAARRGGHHHH!!!!
