Hi,

We've never done character meals at DLP, only in Orlando and I'm wondering if the process is different at all?

Really, my son won't eat any of the food at all and I am on a special medical diet (liquid-diet) so I definitely can't eat anything, but my DH, MiL and FiL and hopefully the couple and child we are also going with, will eat properly there!

We are going from Mon 4 June - Fri 8 June. Is there a better day for character meals?

As rude as it sounds, the cheaper the better really, as this is very much a test to see how my son copes with the situation (he is Autistic and non-verbal so doesn't always understand procedures). I was thinking about the Cowboy Cookout in Frontierland... do you book that in advance? Do they do lunch and dinner and is one better than the other at all?

Many thanks

Cowboy cookout is only open for lunch because they do the character tea party there in the afternoons. You can book in advance by phoning the dining line or at city hall / hotel concierge desk once you have arrived. Cowboy cookout is basically a counter service restaurant so you will only have to buy meals for the people who are eating. :goodvibes

Oh cool, I hadn't realised that... so is the lunch counter service but still has characters? Or is it just the tea in the afternoon that has the characters?

We'll be there the same time - cool!

Yes I think most of the boards are going to be there that week! The characters are still there at lunch which is why it is a bit more expensive than other counter service restaurants.

Thanks so much for this info.. Do you happen to know if there is any cancellation charge if I booked for 6 adults and 2 children but then of that 2 adults and 1 child didn't want to go?

I am looking forward to seeing the restaurant with characters - I loved it before when you could just go in any time!

No there isn't a cancellation charge. :goodvibes

We love the character tea party at Cowboy Cookout - lots of great character interaction!:goodvibes
