"""Disneyland’s popular fresh candy canes will go on sale Friday for the first time of the season.

For three decades, candy makers have concocted the sweets on the spot at the Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland. This year, the palace plans to make the hooked treats on eight days through December.

The newly made goodies are so in demand that visitors often line up early to buy them, while others crowd around the windows to watch the process.

Tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis to potential buyers, who can return later to pick up their candies. A stand-by line will begin at 3:30 p.m. Any leftovers will be sold to those in the stand-by line after 4 p.m., said Tina Horwich, candy production manager of the Disneyland Resort, in an e-mail. Each visitor can buy a maximum of two candy canes for $9.95 each.

Fresh candy canes are scheduled to be made: Friday, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 11, 13, 17, 21 and 29. The schedule is subject to change, based on temperature and staffing changes, Horwich said.

Visitors can call the Candy Kitchen Menu line to get an updated, weekly schedule to find out what candies are being made. The number is 714-781-0112."""

Yummy,,,hopefully I will make it up there to get me some candy canes...:santa:

Could someone clarify the dates that OP gave? It says "Friday, Tuesday" but then the dates listed only have 1 on a Friday.....and none on a Tuesday?

Dec 9 is Thurs
Dec 11 is Sat
Dec 13 is Mon
Dec 17 is Fri
Dec 21 is Sun
Dec 29 is Wed

I thought I had read somewhere that the first date was to be November 30 (I only remember that because we leave tomorrow so we'll be there on the 30th) and there was speculation of Dec 8 which is our departing date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure I want to buy one as much as I'd like to watch them being made, lol.

For what it's worth, was at Disneyland today and the candy canes were being made and already on sale this season. There were 3 batches made today and all the tickets were already handed out by 9:30 am when we arrived. Make sure to get there early if you're looking to pick up a candy cane or two!

As an aside, watching them make the candy canes is an incredible experience.

How big is the candy cane? I'm wondering what a $10 candy cane looks like.

BTW, there is a candy shop in Columbia Ca. that also makes homemade candy canes. Awesome to watch. Nelson's Candy Kitchen is their name if I recall correctly.

I would recommend checking the dates when you get there. The published dates changed three times last year, so whatever dates are displayed here or anywhere else are subject to change.

They're pretty decent-sized.

The Friday and Tuesday are November dates -- Friday Nov 26 and Tuesday Nov 30.

I walked by at 8:12 on Friday and saw them hand out the last candy cane ticket for the day. Those things go fast! I heard one family announce proudly that they had been waiting in line outside the park gates for an hour and a half to get their candy canes. I myself am really not that into candy canes. It was neat to watch them being made for a few minutes while my family was riding Space Mountain, but I've seen the whole thing on Food Network before with a better view.
