We typically stay at SSR or OKW. This is our first stay at BLT and want to eat and enjoy the monorail resorts most of the trip. Family of four 42, 39, 12, and 9. Thanks for your tips. It is the first week of August so we definitely want cool and pool fun. We went to all parks in Halloween and don’t have to do much park stuff this trip.

thanks! :)

The pools are wet but are mostly that. Not the most unique or exciting of the DVC pools.

Are you in a studio or 1BR? If a studio, it can be very tight with the sofa out, so you will want to spend most of your time away from the room.

If you want to go over to the GF to explore, walk from the CR to the MK and then head over to near the resort monorail upramp. No, you're not getting on the monorail; that'd be a little weird when you can do that inside the Tower, wouldn't it?

No, you're looking for the MK2GF2Poly boat dock. It's a breezy, relaxing ride to the GF and on to the Poly.

Or, if in the mood to keep walking, look for the new walkway to the GF that starts to the right of the boat dock. Security at the dock will gladly point it out as it's not easy to spot.

You can also walk on from the GF to the Poly if so inclined, although I can certainly understand reluctance in August heat. Maybe come back in fall or spring sometime, because it's a lovely stroll from MK to GF to Poly.

ETA: In case you've not ridden the resort loop monorail much, I suggest the walk because you get on the monorail at the CR and stop at the TTC, Poly and then GF. It can actually be faster to walk over to the GF as suggested at busy times of year.

The BLT pool is small, considering the number of rooms in BLT. Consider taking the short walk to the Contemporary pool.

If you don’t have a theme park view, there’s pretty good views of the fireworks from the bridge to the Contemporary or on outdoor balconies in the Contemporary that are accessible by stairs.

The bridge to the Contemporary is on the 5th floor.

BLT does not have its own dining or shopping. Use the bridge to the Contemporary to get to those.

It might be obvious but it’s faster to walk from BLT to MK in the morning, as the Monorail in that direction makes several stops. It‘a also faster to walk back at night since crowds for the Monorail can be crazy.

When staying at any Monorail resort, we like to use the Monorail to explore the other resorts. But don’t do this around park opening or closing due to crowds.

We are in a two bedroom.

We liked using mobile order for the quick service location at the Contemporary for breakfast and bringing it back to our room. Clicking I’m Here on the bridge seemed to be close to the right time for it to be ready when we arrived.
