First an earthquake, now a hurricane.....

I have to work tonight but off the whole weekend. Have to go over to my friends house to make sure things are put away and take down the umbrellas on the porch. they are in disney and were supposed to come home tomorrow evening. they could only change flight to noon. They tried to get something today but no luck.
It is crazy. The statue on the top of the hospital I work out cracked during the earthquake and now is "stabilized" but I think they are nervous about it falling with all the wind.

Mr. Weatherman (here in Boston!) seems to think it's going to hit Boston. Be down to a Category 1 by the time it gets here, but that's still 75 MPH winds. I was here for Gloria, and on the Vineyard as a nanny for Bob. Not fun. I'm hoping they're all wrong and it goes out to sea!

Irene is headed straight up 91. We are east of the river so we are getting the worst of it.

I remember Gloria- the one day of the year my dad had duty overrnight at the Coast Guard Academy- the eye went right down our street\. The best thing about dad being at the academy was that when he came home (since he had talked with mom and knew what the neighborhood looked like he brought a van full of cadets that went out and helped the whole neighborhood clean up. I pray that it calms down and heads out to sea.

Rebecca can you believe they are still arguing over moving Eagle up river?!?!?
We've had cadets here all the time too!! They helped paint the big barn. Oh those were the days as a teenage girl. Nothing like a little Coastie eye candy!

And SOME people I know are heading for the CAPE. I don't understand it:sad2:

It better not be who I think it is!!!!
Linda, we are heading to upstate NY. I'll call ya if we need a place to land!

The house here in CT is secure and now we have to secure all those potential missiles that are disguising themselves as flowerpots, chairs, and tables at the Cape. We've gone thru hurricanes at both places before. All the predictions say the eye is going right over CT, one of the paths is right over Buffy and my area but most are more west so our area will get a lot of rain and wind. The Cape is expected to get the least amount of rain where it looks like Caroline's area is going to get heavy amounts of rain.

First a tornado, then an earthquake, and now a hurricane. What a summer.

Lisa please be careful!! DS15 was worried about you today and asked if you were going to the Cape, I said I wasn't sure.

Did you take the trampoline down?????

If the house next door isn't sold yet, make sure there aren't any projectiles there either!!!

trampoline is secured down with lines. :thumbsup2

They say everything happens in 3's so we had Earthquake, Hurricane and Tornados! That's 3 right!?!?!?! So we are good now. Well at least til snow comes..... UGH!.....
