Years back when we went to Disney with MAW I remember they had a air conditioned lounge area that MAW kids could go into and I am sure others too - but I can't remember what it was called or who was allowed to use it. I think we just went into one at Magic Kingdom - I think it was by Crystal palace and every time we went there it was empty. Anyone know what i am talking about? DO you need a GAC card to use this lounge?

I think you're thinking of the Baby Care Center. It is right next to Crystal Palace and First Aid. That's the only thing I know of.

I just did some googling - I think it is called the Wish lounge and is just for MAW families.

yes at MK there is a wish lounge and it is just for MAW families on wish trips. if you are going back and need a quiet place to rest then you can go to first aid and lie down there and you do not need any kind of specie pass to do this.

Each park has a First Aid center available to all guests. The Baby Care center is typically reserved for those with babies or very young children. There are cots in First Aid if someone needs to lay down for a bit. Some popular attractions often used as an indoor, cool, quiet spot include the Hall of Presidents and Carousel of Progress. The PeopleMover and the Railroad are also good spots to sit and ride for s bit, though not necessarily in A/C.

There is a thread pinned near the top of this forum that explains the current DAS program: WDW - DIsability Access Service. The former GAC program ended a couple of years ago, so you may want to familiarize yourself with the DAS if it has been a while since your last visit.

Enjoy your vacation!

Just what I was going to write!

Thanks for the nice reminder! My daughter uses a wheelchair at Disney (can't walk that much and still have energy to enjoy the trip), and I always forget that if she's feeling really tired, we can go to first aid and let her cool down and rest!

Do they have ice water there also? Need to keep her hydrated too.

they have cold water at first aid but not Ice water and you can not just go in to get some you have to be in the back and lying down to get it. Also any QS will have free ice water if you just ask and you do not need to buy anything to get the free ice water.

Have you looked into Camelbaks?

If you had a camelbak, you'd have plenty of water on hand, and she could sip at it all day.

Good idea, but we usually just get ice water often from CS places! Sometimes I bring some stuff like Crystal Light to make it taste better.

Less to carry along! But we do bring a drink or two as well also, and refill as needed.
