First adult only trip help

So, somehow, I managed to convince some of our family members to try an adult only trip in September.
We have been to WDW plenty of times. I grew up in Orlando and have been there hundreds of times since opening day.
One of the couples joining us has been three times over the past thirty years, but only to MK.
One member of the group has been multiple times with her DH and kids, and is very familiar with WDW.
Another couple has been once, only to MK, and doesn't really remember it much. They went a couple of years ago to Universal and thought they were at WDW.
The last person has never been to WDW at all.

So that is the history of our group: 3 who know WDW, 2 who somewhat know MK, 2 who don't know the difference between WDW and Universal, and 1 who is clueless!!!

Now, this adult only trip is new territory, even for me! I have always had a child along on any trips i have made as an adult.
So I am really looking forward to this new experience, but am wondering if there is a different way to approach it.

Do you seasoned adult trippers have any advice or tips that would help us make this trip as great an experience for everyone as possible?
FYI, we don't drink or anything like that, so drinking around the world is not a suggestion that will help me out.

We will be staying off site in a townhouse with a private pool. I have already brought up the possibility of free dining and staying at POR, but the group preferred to be in the TH where we could all be together.

It will be pretty much all WDW, maybe one day at Sea World.
But no one is interested in doing any WDW tours or spa days or anything lke that.
They just want to go to parks, DTD, and maybe Cirque one evening.
Meals will be off site except for lite lunches in the parks.

So does anyone have tips on how they tour the parks differently in an adult only crowd?

Well I can tell you what my DH & I like to do on our couples only trips..
1) at night take the boat from DHS to the Boardwalk, Beach Club & then onto EPCOT & then back again....We love the looks of the resort & two parks at night.
--While you are doing this, stop at Boardwalk & get off & enjoy the entertainment on the Boardwalk

2) Take a boat from any of the MK resorts & make that round trip. this is fun during the day... We did it on our last day last visit, as it was relaxing & we still did "something" on our last day.

3) Go see Cirque DuSoleil.. Its amazing.. Its a bit pricey, but WOW!

4) If any one is a golfer, try one of the Disney golf courses. If no one is a golfer, go miniature golfing at one of the two courses in WDW. IT IS fun after a dinner out to get some activity after a filling dinner. (Plus a little friendly competition is fun!)

5) we love, love, love JellyRolls on the Boardwalk.. Its a must evening entertainment.

6) Go to Chef Mickey's or any other Breakfast with Characters meal....IT is so sweet to have a pic of you & your friends that you can look back on & smile!

7) Make sure you each get to go on your favorite ride maybe even more than once! That's what is great about just adults... Only doing what you enjoy & not having to worry about what the kids want to do..

8) Maybe do a Dessert Wishes party. DO search on the Disboards...

9) Make sure you reserve yours & his favorite restaurant ahead of time!

10) GO on an Illuminations Cruise--see the "sticky" on this forum.

If you are going late September you may enjoy the Epcot Food and Wine festival. Yummy treats to try around the world. Also to enjoy is Mickeys not so scary Halloween Party. To make it fun for the adults in our group we polled the CM we met to vote on best costume in our group. The least votes bought dinner that night.
Also you can do one of the adult behind the scenes tours. Can't wait to do be able to do that....11 years to go
We also did restaurant reviews for ourselves while on delux dining package.
Relax and really be able to stroll around is great too

Something my husband and I enjoy doing is exploring the resort areas. The resorts have so much to see and explore all on their own. We took a day once and checked out all the Magic Kingdom area resorts and the Boardwalk area resorts.

I know you say all your dinners will be off site, but I would really consider at least one dinner at a resort restaurant. My husband and I love Boma, and AKL is also a great resort to stroll around and explore. A highlight of our last trip was seeing the animals being fed right around dusk. It was very neat!

Sounds like its pretty much the same as what we always do, so I guess we will just stay with our usual touring habits.

I like checking out the resorts as well - did 2 dinners at other resorts on my last trip: Captain's Grille at YC, and Whispering Canyon at WL. Both were great. Going to Whispering Canyon again on my next visit.

One thing that I don't see mentioned is seeing YeHaa Bob's show at the Port Orleans Riverside River Roost. He entertains Wednesdays thru Saturdays starting at 8:30 pm. Arrive early as Bob has quite a following. Check out his website yehaabob.com. We are looking forward to a September trip also. good luck with your planning.

We went on our first kid free trip last September!!! AMAZING we are going again In October and I'm super pumped! Here's our must dos for kid free trips:

1. Wishes cruise (pontoon charter)
2. Carriage ride thru POR
3. Adult only tour (keys to the kingdom was awesome)
4. At least One Character meal (CRT was sort of romantic at night)
5. Spa time and time to relax by the pool
6. Evening at DTD

Of course there's the obvious parks days and endless dining options but everyone vacations different, my husband and I are like kids who don't need naps! We leave the room before rope drop and don't come back till after the fireworks
Just when you think you have done everything there is to do think again, did you know you could snorkel, dive and parasail on property!!

I would recommend Cirque as well. Fantastic show. DTD is fun anyway. Watch all the shows at the different pavilions at EPCOT Interesting to see the different countries. DHS may be interesting with the backlot tours and the car show for the guys.

Best advice I can give is to not overplan what you are going to do because if you dont get to it and things fall apart, it will stress you out more because you didnt get to do it. Make suggestions and give everyone a menu of things to do at each park and then let them choose what they want to do.

One of our favorite things to do is "drink around the world" at Epcot. Try one of each country's signature drink (and snack) as you walk around Epcot.

This is the plan for one of our days down at WDW. My wife and I don't have kids, so we enjoy doing adult things there as well as being big kids. "Drinking Around the World" is a ton of fun... I'm just careful to not get too crazy since its a family environment.

We also do a character breakfast and dinner once on the trip.

My cousin and I took an Adults Only trip and had a blast. One thing we did do was visit several of the resorts to see if there was any particular place we wanted to stay the next time.

We were also able to go at our own pace. We loved the fact that we didn't have children along who were pulling us in several different directions all with their own agendas.
