FIRM Check In Week 7

FIRMIES!
I am proud to announce that I kept my date w/ Emily & did Complete Aerobics & Weight Training this AM. I 'm not sure why, but I was apprehensive about this workout. But it went very well, not perfect, but I was able to do almost every move (except when Emily announced that we were "getting down with the fanny lifter") and I finished the workout, dripping in sweat. I don't think I would have bought this DVD, without the info & encouragement from this thread. I'll be spending one day per weekend w/ Emily & CA&WT. Thanks guys!
I'll be straying a little from my SB WOE. I'm going upstairs to bake an Italian cheesecake to take to a pre-Easter dinner at my SIL's shore home. I'll have a piece & try to leave the remaining cake w/ her. Now all I have to do is stay away from DSs' Easter baskets.

Sue - I would love to hear more about Complete Aerobics & Weight Training. Can you tell me exactly what you do and how long it lasts? Do you need the sculpting stick because I don't have one of those. I'm looking to add one DVD to my collection because we've got the VCR upstairs in our bedroom and I don't like to disturb DH on his days off but I need to get up early to get my work outs in so I need a FIRM DVD that I can use downstairs. This one sounds a bit intimidating but it might be right up my alley so I appreciate any descripton you can share. Thanks! Also, I read on the Daily Dish that if we want to indulge a bit with the sweets we can have some dark chocolate because it has less sugar than milk chocolate. I forgot about that and will keep it in mind for vacation.
 
Hey FIRMies-

Well today I got up at 7:30am and stayed in bed for about an hour and then headed down to do Standing Legs and Upper Body. I was afraid of Standing Legs due to my knees, but I only used 5lb weights and did fine. I was totally drenched in sweat and thought several times how nice it would be to just go sit on my couch! But, I did it! Then I did Upper Body, boy was that one tough tape too! My arms were definately burning by the end! I also did workout #5 of 5 day abs. I liked workout #5 alot, I really felt it.

I got my Treadmill today that I have been bugging DH to get. He got it for me even though the basement isn't done because I threatned to join a GYM! HAHA!! Now I can start training for the marathon!!

I have 6 new workouts coming in soon.
#1- FIRM Power Yoga- New, add on from BSS3.
#2-Lower Body Split
#3-Upper Body Split -These two are crosstrainers that you can do two days in a row.
#4-Volume 1-Body Sculpting Basics- This is the ORIGINAL FIRM tape that started everything. I hear this one is a killer
#5-Volume 4-Time Crunch- in the original 6 volumes.

That should give me every tape that is available on DVD. I sure hope they put out some of the other classics on DVD.

to keep you out of the your sons basket!! You can do it! Don't stress though over eating tomorrow. Its only one day and a small drop in the overall way of life picture.

Hi guys!

I wanted to check in right quick and then I'm powering down my computer. I've got to get to bed before midnight for a change!

This evening I did BSS1 cardio sculpt with Allie and I am so proud to be able to report that for the first time ever I used the whole 14 inch step during the leg press exercises! I am just thrilled. I have learned that sometimes the only thing that limits you is you! I have been telling myself I couldn't perform the routines at my weight and I had to wait until I was under a certain weight before I could do it. I just said to myself this evening that if I tried it and was over exerting myself I'd stop. I didn't over exert myself and as a matter of fact, it felt good to use both portions of the fanny lifter and I'll be doing so from now on! Woohoo!!!! I'm so happy and excited to make this discovery. FIRMing really makes you strong and able to accomplish things with your body you didn't think were possible.

Melanie - thanks so much for the link. I'll check it out. This just may be the new work out for me!

I never got to the computer yesterday, but I did get to do Tough Tape 2. Kind of interesting to do my oldest & my newest workouts, back-to-back. After the dinner party last night, with a little too much dessert sampling, I decided Cardio Sculpt w/ Allie was the answer. I just finished.

Sorry I didn't answer you sooner about CA&WT. I think you'd like this workout. It shares alot of elements with Cardio Sculpt Blaster & you really like that tape. There are some kickboxing moves in there, which were very new to me. It is LONG--almost 1 hour, so it is a weekend, only workout for me. But with Melanie's tip about overstock.com, it was less than $15.00 inc shipping for the DVD & it arrived in less than a week. I say go for it, esp. since you're been doing "so good" with your weight loss. I don't have a sculpting stick & did fine without it. Sometimes I just used my free weights, but you do need some sort of dowel for support. I just used a wooden pole from some drapery project in my past.
