Firm Check in Week 16

Morning, I you don't mind that I started this week's thread. Today was Firm tape with Emily and yestereday I also worked out with Lisa Kay which felt good after eating like there was no tomorrow at my daughter's birthday. I got the nicest compliment from my husband. He said "I like the way your clothes fit. Of course I was in my "sexy" skirt (you just got to have one after having kids it makes you feel so good!).
 
I ran 1.75 miles and walked 1.25 miles on the treadmill for a total of 3 miles. I also walked around the park twice at lunch.

I have WI tonight and darn it I had mexican for lunch. I usually am very good about not eating out for lunch on a Monday so my WI is better. It was a vegetarian meal though, so at least it wasn't super heavy.

Saturday turned into a rest day because DH ended up taking me to the mall and suprising me by bying me new wedding rings for my 17th year anniversary. What a great suprise and I was more than happy to take a rest day for it. Now I have to wait till next Friday night before they are ready.

Sunday I did Upper Body Sculpt, started to do Lower body sculpt 1 and then decided to do some of Cathe Federich's Boot Camp. I was getting too hungry and didn't do as much lower body work as I had wanted.

S&K's mom- Way to go on the compliment from DH. Definately haveing a skirt like that is so great. It makes you feel really good! HOpe you had fun this weekend at DD"s birthday!
 
Good afternoon FIRMies!
Today, I did the Upper Body workout that my DH planned out for me. One of my goals for the next month is to up my cardio, but I must confess that I like the straight weight training more.::yes::

It's too hot to take the girls for a walk this afternoon, but maybe we'll get one in this evening. That will be my cardio for the day.

Good morning, today was cardio sculpt blaster with Nancy. I have to confess I bought a new dvd yesterday is was Karen Voight. I read some good reviews yesterday. I am totally committed to the firm but I want to add more to my collection so that I'm not always doing the same ones and getting sick of them. (Oh you know how compulsive I am) plus if I don't get a job before my layoff I won't be able to get any more dvds till I'm working again.

I did Super Sculpting this morning. That tape is tough. I am going to try only sculpting tapes this week since I am going to do more treadmilling. I may shift my emphasis to sculpting and treadmilling till after the marathon.

I also ran 1.25 and walked 1.25 miles on the treadmill last night after WI.

S&K's mom- Let us know how your new DVD is. I think its great to add variety and to crosstrain in different ways.

Tracy- I too like the strength training WAY more than the cardio. I have had to bump up my cardio too, or I will never be able to do the marathon. I had already done the upper body and part of the lower body, plus I was starving as I hadn't eaten and it was after 11am. I don't think I got a good try of Cathe's workout because of this. I didn't have that much energy, or else it was really hard lol!! I hope to try it again. I really liked the warmup section. It really warmed you up. I can't wait to try it again.

Today was Cardio Sculpt Blaster, the Lower Body section of Body Sculpt, and 1/3 of Ab Sculpt. I plan on doing the entire Ab Sculpt video later this evening. DD woke up with a slight fever (I think she's teething.) so I didn't finish my Ab workout. Have a great day!

Morning friends, this am I veered from the firm (forgive me!) and did the new Karen Voight DVD. What I like about DVD's is that is allows you to work on just certain areas or the whole thing so I did the 45minute circuit training. Not bad. I think I could definately add one or two more of her tapes. Actually the change was nice but I am glad that I've been working out for a while now as I think it makes it a bit easier to follow other routines, oh I messed up a few times but I didn't feel so clumsy.

Morning today was cardio sculpt with Allie. I used the 8lbs weights thoughout which I liked plus I did the pushups on my toes! whooooohoooo. Have a fantastic day everyone.

Good morning FIRMies!
I woke up this morning and realized that I haven't FIRMed in three days!:eek: This is the first time since I began FIRMing in January that I have let that much time go by without the FIRM. I did workout on Friday. I did DH's total body workout w/ weights; no cardio. Saturday, I walked a lot at a community garage sale. I'm not sure what today will bring. If I don't get to Total Sculpt today, I will definitely do it tomorrow.::yes::
