It seems I read somewhere that one resort has a "beach" where you can sit and get a great view of the fireworks...not sure which fireworks display the post was about, but I'm thinking the resort mentioned was the Polynesian? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? :confused3
We're going in May for the first time, and I start to hyperventilate a little bit (though I can't stay away!!) when I read all this info and try to sort it all out...and to see how far in advance folks plan! I'm trying to get it together!;)

Poly has a beautiful view, but really, any of the MK resorts do! At the Contemporary, great view from California Grill..., beach at Poly, or Ohana at Poly..great restaurant and view and they pipe in the music like at Cali grill :) Grand Floridian has a great view as well! we walked outside our room at Poly and watched from the beach several nights:cloud9: one night it was too foggy and couldn't see anything though:rolleyes1 oops!

The fireworks that can be seen from the Poly are Wishes, the ones at MK that are almost each night (unless there's a special event, then there are special fireworks, not the usual Wishes).

Honestly, the best way to watch Wishes is from INSIDE MK, but if you are seeing it an extra time, or the ONLY way you can see it is from outside the park, then the Poly beach is has a lovely view. If you do this, make sure you find a speaker from which you can hear the Polynesian music...when wishes starts, you will hear it from those speakers.

Viewing the fireworks from the beach at the Poly in the hammocks remains one of my most cherished memories!!

We absolutely love watching them from the beach of the Poly. You get a wonderful view and you don't have the crowds to deal with if your inside the MK. But we always to that at least once per visit also for the "being right there factor".

You can watch from any MK resort, but I gotta' tell you, it's nothing like watching from within the park. We have watched Wishes a number of times from the Poly beach, but OH MY GOSH, we were floored when we watched the same show in the MK in front of the Castle. You can see Tink fly in, and the fireworks show is heart stopping in the Park --nothing so dramatic when watching the same show from a resort. It was an easy monorail ride in and out of the Park, and soooooooooooooo worth it. I'd only recommend watching from the Poly. beach if you have young children and are staying there, so you can keep them in their pjs and they can go off to sleep after. Even with us staying at the Poly., we still make sure to watch at least once per trip in the Park.:wizard:

Watched from the top of the Cali Grill... food was great...view was better the bill was:scared:

Thank you all so much!
We will have an almost 3 yr. old with us. Sounds like we definitely need to view from MK at least once, so we'll make that happen! Then, venture to Poly's Beach if we want to view again. Thanks again for the input...
