Fireworks view

We are staying at FW the week of July 4. I really want to see the MK fireworks and have a decent view. How is the view from the beach? We are skipping the Disney parks this trip so we can either stay at the Fort or I booked dinner at California Grill July 3, which I’m not thrilled about since DS10 is now a Disney adult.

I know it’s obstructed but how badly obstructed? Also- is the construction of lodge going to be a problem? Is the beach smaller than previous years?

Thanks in advance! So excited for our first stay at the Fort.

Just came back, the New Resort will not be an obstruction to the Fireworks. There is no beach to the left of the Marina. Clementines Beach on the right is open and may not hold as many people as the left side but you’ll get a view some people say it’s better because it’s more facing the fireworks. Enjoy and don’t forget the water pageant after the fireworks.

They call the beach on the right Clemintine's Beach, I guess they thought they could trick us, lol.

Before the DVC resort behind Pioneer Hall, the beach to the LEFT of the boat dock had been named "Clementine's Beach" for the better part of 5 decades.

Heck, anyone can move a sign. Clementine used to be to the left of the Fort boat dock for decades - now they want us to think it belongs on the right side of the dock based on what is said.

And don't "buy the lie" that the right side of the dock was originally Clementine's Beach. I've read that lie. It's not true.

What IS true is that the beach to the right of the Fort boat dock IS the original beach of Fort Wilderness (circa 1971). The beach to the LEFT of the dock came some years later (and was named 'Clementine's Beach' as I'm not aware that the original beach HAD a name). And it remained that way for several decades until the DVC invasion triggered the transfer of the sign I guess.

I'm not old enough to speak of the Fort and its conditions when it opened in 1971. What I DO know is Pioneer Hall came into existence a few years AFTER the Fort opened. The Settlement Trading Post WAS original in 1971 (along with loops 100-600). So simply moving a sign is a lame move if that's the case. The Internet Remembers.

PS - and hey, I could be wrong - like I said I wasn't around then. But that's what I've read.

Great info! But what I'm referencing is a sign that has been placed on the beach on the right that reads "Clemintine's Beach". With 2 "i"s not 2 "e"s. Here are a couple of screen shots from a Youtube video.

Well, Disney can't be accused of being good student's (either of spelling or history).

A sign on the right side of the beach is a loser position. No serious Fort guest is going to buy that crap.

As for the spelling, this is what DOOMS Woke Disney down the tubes.

They can't spell worth a junk. More I can say but don't need to.

It's up them to come up with some new 2025 lame song with the C* spelled the way they do.

Or else Disney is as dumb as a rat's rear end.

I have an paper/bound Webster's Dictionary in our personal library. The spellings they have are decades old. So duh.

I'm glad you brought this topic up.

What losers. This is only one sign of how far down Disney has sunk. :sad2:
