The tomorrowland terrace fireworks party...

1. Is it worth it? I have a great spot for watching Wishes but the last few times its been unbearably crowded for viewing....

2. Is it true you can only book it 60 days out?

3. What is it like??

Thanks Dis boards!

Personally we think it's worth it. I hate viewing the fireworks in the crowds. We were there last week and everything was plentiful and they restocked things that ran out. Our view of the fireworks was great! We've done it twice now. After the fireworks were over they encouraged everyone to come back to the buffet for more. You line up ahead of time outside the entrance. Your table is already reserved so there is no rush for a table. For the show and fireworks people line up at the railing to watch it. There is a Photo pass photographer there. Tinkerbell flies right over your head.

We love it!!!

The desserts are lovely... lots and lots of two-bite-sized choices.

And we LOVE the fact that we can sit and enjoy that dessert, then watch the fireworks. Twice we've gotten our Christmas card photos from the Photopass photographer-- a wonderful picture of my family in front of the castle. We get an amazing view of the fireworks, and Tinkerbell flies right over our heads! There's a readily accessible bathroom nearby. What's not to love??

As to booking, that's a bit trickier. They open up the ADRs one month at a time, but no particular number of days out. There's a thread here somewhere dedicated to it' subscribe so you'll know when your month opens up.

If you want a hassle free place to hang out and relax, have a few treats, and see the fireworks without having to guard a spot for an hour or so, it is well worth the price. Unless you can eat a ton, you won't get your money's worth from the treats alone. They are not that great, to be honest. Nothing fancy, nothing I went WOW over. But I like brownies and ice cream as much as anyone.:)

Huh, the web site i saw says 60 days out?

If you think the price is good for a great spot to view the fireworks, yes. If you are hoping the desserts are worth that price, no.

I liked it but, I wouldn't say it's worth that price. Granted I wanted the desserts to be fantastic.

Then things must have changed very recently.

My friend leaves for WDW on Tuesday, and had a hard time narrowing down the day when ADRs would open. The two times we've gone (as recently as August of last year) the same was true.

I'm glad they're making it a little easier by defining the date.

Believe it or not I have Enochlophobia, which is medical jargon for fear or crowds.
Normally i overcome it easy with some distraction techniques , and WDW is a great exception to the rule and a place where I usually do not stress too much. ( I have found great secret quiet spots to deal with the occasional freakouts!!!)

But Wishes has been an issue due to the severe crowds. I often view from behind the castle.

So if it cuts down on the packed sardine feel at the hub, its worth a ton of money to me!

I would highly recommend it anyway and due to your problem, I would say it is definitely worth it.
It's not crowded. We tend to stay in our seats and watch the fireworks and still have a great view. My wife doesn't like crowds and she's fine with it.

We love it just for the viewing spot alone. It is not right in front of the castle but the view is very good and it does not feel crowded at all. The desserts are pretty good and it is a nice opportunity to just sit with your family, take a breath and really enjoy each other for a while. We want to do it every time if we can.

I don't know when you're going, but just a caution - people can get pretty rude and pushy when crowding up to the railing as the fireworks are about to begin (we were there in August so it was both hot and crowded which may have contributed to the attitudes we encountered). We had a table right up front, so in theory we should have been able to watch from our table. But so many people started crowding up to the railing (4-5 deep) that we could not see without standing and moving forward also. And then the people at the table behind us started complaining (loudly) that they couldn't see because we'd stood up.

For these reasons, it was not at all an enjoyable experience for us, particularly since we paid all the extra money to avoid just that type of situation. However, given your specific condition, it is definitely going to be a better alternative than standing on Main Street. And I'd like to think, given all the rave reviews on these boards, that our experience was an anomaly. If you plan on taking photos, be aware that the fireworks will not be centered on the castle like they are from the Main Street perspective.

Huh. We were told straight out to go stand by the rail for the best view of the fireworks. Just as with any other area of the park, if there is space, people are going to fill it in. I'm glad when we went people were very polite and nice about it.

It wasn't the fact that people went to the railing (as you noted, that's to be expected), it was the attitudes of some of the people doing it that bothered me. Definitely not nice and polite. As I said, perhaps it was the weather that made people less kind than they would normally be. Or perhaps it was just the people that happened to be there that night. Who knows. I'm glad you had a more pleasant experience.

We went Wednesday night to it and I can't say enough good things about it. It will be a must every visit for us! Are the desserts the best I have ever eaten? No, but they are very yummy and plentiful. My dd ate one cookie and my dh ate nothing except water, but my dad(who took my sons spot who decided to go home with my younger guy and mom) and I ate a bit and still think it was worth the money. It was so relaxing sitting in our seats watching the parade and fireworks. I have seen others saying you don't have a good view and while I am sure we missed some of the finer details of the floats and characters we could still see them lit up and enjoyed it. We also saw the afternoon parade and had a spot where nobody was so I felt a spectacular view of the nighttime one was no biggie. As far as rude people standing, we must have got lucky. We had the front table right in line with the castle and only a handful of people were standing up and nobody stood during the parade or light show. We saw everything from our seats. The view of Tink...outstanding. I hate crowds and would pay for upgrades almost anytime unless it is too outrageous any time it is offered.
