I just got a laptop for christmas, and i'm having serious trouble playing fireworks on it. Right now i'm like criss-crossing my hands and yea, it just one big tangled mess. Any of you out there with laptops have any tips on playing fireworks with just a mouse pad thingy? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.princess:

Bop,

Well my only tip is don't do it. I lasted about three games, said a few things I shouldn't have in front of the kids, and then marched myself down to the Best Buy and got a wireless optical mouse for about $25. Put the USB transmitter in a USB slot, a battery in the mouse, and away you go. Mine is from microsoft. Fits my hand great. It also has a built in enlarge feature, but don't bother using it for fireworks. It slows down the response time.

Sorry I don't have a better solution for you!

i agree with daraallen...get a wireless mouse. i'm playing on a laptop as well and the only way i can play fireworks is with a mouse. until you get a mouse i wish you luck :)

I've been playing fireworks on a laptop from the start, and it has a touchpad as well. A couple weeks ago, I went over my parents' house and tried playing it on their PC and I found that I can't use a mouse on fireworks. I got kicked out in the first round :rotfl:

But yeah, since you're used to using a mouse, go get an optical one, like everyone's been saying. I can see how it can be useful (to everyone but me, anyway).

I've heard some players say that a wired mouse is actually better than a wireless for playing fireworks on a laptop, but that it's still not as good as playing on a desktop. (I have a laptop with wireless everything, so I'm hoping there's some excuse for why I'm so lousy at fireworks! )

I've gotten used to playing with criss-crossed hands, so I can't give tips as far as a wireless or wired mouse. I don't think I'd do well with a mouse at this point, anyway. :rotfl2:
