We have ADR's for HDDR on a Wishes night and were planning on going back to MK for fireworks, but then I read something about the Hayrides during the fireworks that you could take. Has anyone done this, and how well can you see the fireworks? Is it fairly easy to get a seat, I notice you can't reserve them. The date in question is Wed, 9/17 if that means anything. Thanks.:goodvibes

You can see the fireworks very well from the Fort. Most times if you arrive 15 - 30 minutes before the ride begins you can get a seat no problem, Sept. 17 should be ok. It still doesn't have the FULL magical feeling of watching them at the MK. JMHO.

I have just booked a reservations for this on 407-WDW-PLAY. It is actually a haunted carriage ride this year and they tell the story of Sleepy Hollow. It is $60 for 5 people. There is a NEW haunted boat ride this year that boasts about seeing the wishes fireworks. That might be your better bet. Click on Event on the top of this discussion board and scroll down to October and you can read the details. :) Either one should be fun!

The haunted carriage ride is different, I think.

There is still the regular fireworks hayride. 2 different prices, too.

As a special event for my 3 youngest daughters, we went on the hayride and watched the fireworks go off all around cindi's castle. The little one was 2 and the twins were 5 and it was a pretty neat experience for us, and I am really glad we got to do it. I hope you have as much fun as we did!! The secret spot is kinda cool, and you do have a nice view of the castle across the lake from the campgrounds.

Hope this helps!

No need to worry about getting a seat for the hayride fireworks special, they don't overfill the wagon but there is only one trip. Everyone can see the fireworks from where the hayride stops for the show. I observed the fireworks a couple of times from the secret spot the week before last. You can see the castle and the fireworks clearly but keep in mind that the angle is greatly different than watching the fireworks from Main St. or even while taking the ferry from TTC to MK. What a lot of folks don't realize is that the fireworks (large aerials) are not shot from within the park they are shot from outside the confines of MK. Due to this it looks a little odd. One neat thing they do, only for those on the fireworks hayride special I found out, is they have large speakers which play the show, what you may normally not hear because the fireworks are so loud close up. The show is broadcast in real time from an antenna atop Cinderella's castle so it is in synch with the fireworks. He wouldn't tell me what frequency it is. He did say you couldn't pick it up on a regular radio, that it is a wifi type frequency (his words).

Can you get a ADR? How much does it cost? When does it start? Where do you go to meet it?

Thanks for all the info.

No Ressies for hay ride, be in front of Trails End 15 minutes prior, 7pm and 9:30 pm, $8 for adults $5 for kids

Thanks for the info on the hayride. Sounds like fun! Do the times change depending on the season (like the campfire program does)?
