Hubby and I would like to watch fireworks from the train station second floor- is this accessible to everyone? any idea how far ahead we should arrive?
You can likely get a spot there, as it is really a second-rate (if not lesser) place to see MK fireworks.
The castle projections are very "small" and partially blocked, and (more importantly)
they leave the full lighting of Main Street ON during the show (to assist those exiting MK during the show.)
Not a very good spot, but many still view from there.
How early to arrive fully depends on how many others happen to have the same idea.

Yes, it's accessible to everyone. To get right up front you should arrive about 2 hours before the show starts. By 1 hour before the entire area ia pretty full so I'd say a minimum of 90 minutes.

thankyou- we have been many times- going in March and then again in May- we have enjoyed the fireworks from the lagoon boat and Poly so are looking for more of a firework show and not as much the projections- appreciate the information )) now I will not be shocked about the lights staying on!
I would suggest a better view is by the ferry launch site at the TTC. From there you get a beautiful view of the castle (although you do miss the projections). Added bonus - no ticket is required to see them.
I have not been at the train station before/during HEA in awhile, but there have been times in the past when the second floor is reserved for private viewing - usually various events, VIPs, etc. Just FYI in case you find it roped off on arrival.
