Fireworks from outside the Parks

I've searched, but can't seem to find the answer. We will be flying down Sunday, but won't be in the Parks until Monday. Where is the best place to see the fireworks from outside the Parks? We are staying at the Candy Cane Inn, so I don't think our hotel will do us much good. I'm thinking the Esplenade? Or is there a better spot in Downtown Disney?
Thanks so much!

You can view the fireworks from the esplanade, from DTD in several spots (in front of La Brea Bakery, in front of Jazz Kitchen Express, by the ESPN building, outside DTD by the old valet parking area behind the ESPN building -- there are benches there, and from Pixar Pals by the escalators on the upper levels (in the circular viewing area). If you look on Google Maps, you can see where these locations are.

We have walked out of DCA and stayed on the Esplanade to watch the fireworks. We also caught them one day from Harbor! I am at work right now but when I get home I will look for the photos I took - just in case anyone asked this very question!

Esplanade and across the street. Sorry they are not the greatest quality, taken with my phone and was just taking them to give a rough idea of location.

Usually there is a group of people sitting in the esplanade towards DCA every night watching the fireworks. We did this last time we were there, just happened to show up when they were starting so figured we would try it out. The view was pretty terrible, all you could really see were the very high ones. This show has a lot of castle effects, projections, lasers, etc and I felt it really was pretty mediocre without being able to see the full show.
Paradise Pier Hotel has an observation deck, I think it's third floor, that was better than the esplanade. At least you got the music there. There's also a bar there, many people were grabbing a drink to watch. I don't remember if there is anything preventing non-guests from getting there...

We've watched them from our room at the PVI.
If we went up to the breakfast area we'd really have a great view.

You can actually see them from CCI if you are on the balconies on the left hand side. Again you will only see the high ones, but that's the same as in the esplanade.

I have stayed at the CCI the past two years and most recently a few weeks ago. We had a standard queen room both times. Last year we were in room 222 and we could see the fireworks from our room, one night our daughter even watched them as she laid in bed with the lights out. Most nights when not at the park we went out and watched from the balcony. This year I called a few days ahead of our arrival and requested a room so that we could seem them and they gave us 225. Looking at the map from the back of the door that I took a pic of I would say from about rooms 220-226 and 231 to 236 give the best viewing area. Even if you don't get one of these rooms you can still watch from the balcony as people will gather to watch them.

Just remembered I took a quick video of some of the fireworks from the balcony. This was from in front of 225. We found better views down to the left around 231-236
