Fireworks at Disneyland just now?

We are at Courtyard and Kids are trying to sleep. I start hearing what sounds like either fireworks (or possibly dangerous things). Anyway my boy and I go investigate on our balcony and sure enough, there are fireworks going on. Apparently I’m the only one who thinks they are cool. I didn’t prepare my kids for fireworks and they’re scared out of their minds. I was only able to drag the younger one out for 10 seconds before he yelled to be let back into the room. I definitely did not pay for a fireworks view room so that’s pretty awesome.

Anyway, what gives? It’s after Disneyland hours right now. Test run?

Do they do them occasionally only or will I be able to prime them for tomorrow because I’d love to watch them for note than10 sec.

This was very odd because they were not at 9:30. It was more like 9:50 or 55 and there is a wind advisory locally. Not in the parks but live locally and we can hear them every night they go off. Quite a shock as we are winding down tonight. Even checked the local news as I knew they were not scheduled and not at the normally scheduled time time.

Thanks for letting us know what they actually were!!!

Oh and the park closed at 9:00. Interesting....

It struck me as odd too since it wasn’t on the hour or half hour. Definitely cool and will try to watch tonight!

No way to predict Disney test runs on their fireworks unfortunately. I hope your kids come around sooner rather than later! (As a kid I too was scared out of my mind at that sort of loud noise, it took me a while to come around! ...tbh still don't like loud noises but mentally understanding why they happened helped a lot.)

Ok. Thanks for letting me know they may not happen again this trip.

I thought my daughter had outgrown her noise sensitivity but she was terrified and crying. I, on the other hand, am from a big, loud family and have always loved fireworks. Ironic thing is last year we stayed at Hojo and they were excited to watch them but they were canceled due to rain. Shaking my head...

Yep...heard them from my bedroom at 9:42 and was totally confused. I knew there was no scheduled fireworks last night but I also recognize the sound of DL fireworks. We live 11 miles away and could hear them quite loudly last night.

We are at BWPPI and were confused last night too. At first I checked the app to make sure there were no fireworks scheduled ended then said, "Wait. The park closed over a half hour ago!" I bet the people who were still shopping on Main Street got a treat.
