I need some stratedgy and advice on the Parades and fireworks shows. I will be going in October with my hubby, parents, son (almost 4 at the time), and Godson (9). I have been once to Disney and did not see any parades or fireworks shows. I have seen some videos and realized I really missed out. What are you best tips for which ones to see on which days and where to grab the best spot? We are going down on a Monday and coming back on a Saturday. What do you find has worked best? My son loves Fireworks and lights, so we are set for all of them... LOL

Thanks! :wizard:

in october you need to check the schedule of both wishes and MNSSHP before making any plans. everybody has different viewing ideas for both parades and fireworks, we like both main st. and frontierland for the parades. and for the first time, in front of the castle is sweet for wishes.

illuminations and fantasmic run nightly, so you can adjust your schedule to them. :D

I like to watch the daytime parade on Main Street. We went in October 2003 and the parade crowds were not bad. We sat on the curb along Main Street up near the train station, which is at the end of the parade route. If shade is important to you, a spot along Main Street might be better. We saw people that went up to the train station and watched from there, and I bet that view is great. You can watch them come down Main Street.

We got to our seats about 20 minutes before the parade started, to give you an idea of how to plan your day.

We have small children so we didn't stay in the parks for fireworks - can't help you there.

we plan our park days around the parade and fireworks schedules...in October you will need to watch for how MNSSHP will affect the evening parades and wishes offerings, also Spectro is not usually run every night...

we plan on definately being at MK one night very late which my DD last trip ages 4 and 8 had no problem with as we slept in and didn't go to park until mid morning...on this night we catch "all of the parades" afternoon parade, Spectromagic (light up parade) and WISHES..then we do not have to catch them the other days we are at MK..

my 4 yr old also LOVED Illuminations at EPCOT and as we were staying at the BC we would walk over often in the evening just to see them for her...

Fantasmic at the Studios is also great for those ages, but need to plan for this also as you should arrive 1hr before the show for seating reasons...

some people like the AK parade...we will probably skip it this trip....same for studio parade...

Thank you for the suggestions. I am beginning to wonder of we can get it all done in 5 days... We sure can try...
:)
