hi guys, I will be going to DL wish my baby DS on April 26 and the 27. My question is... I see according to park hours DL closes at 10 pm. Fireworks usally start a little after 9:30 pm.... so will they open Fantasyland after the Fireworks are over? Or just keep it closed for the night? I love riding the Tea Cups at night! Thanks for any replys!

Well...the parts of FL that are closed for the fireworks have to be checked out by the fire marshall before opening. That generally takes a good 20-30 minutes (they have to check out it's a small world, too, FYI). So if the fireworks are at 9:30, end around 20 minutes later, and the park closes at 10, I wouldn't expect FL to be open. I'd just move along to another land and have fun there.

There are no fireworks scheduled for either day of your trip, so shouldn't be an issue.

ok now I am bummed out! They must have changed the hours and the fireworks on me or I was having a computer glitch. The worst thing is I already booked flight and hotel! :headache: He really loves the fireworks... and there is no electric parade. Now what am I going to do? I want to cry!

Awww :(. Yeah since it's a Monday and Tuesday during "off season" they aren't on the calendar. They are on the weekends only for the rest of April it looks like. The hours are 9 to 9.

Sorry, but this is typical for off-season weekdays like in late April.

;)I am still upset- I thought I would wake up feeling better about it- the only thing I could come up with is trying to switch my resies- and the Park Vue Inn is booked solid. So I told dh and he is being so sweet cheering me up- reminding me that we will be going again in Nov to see the xmas stuff and he can see fireworks and woc then. DH also reminds me that DS is only 2 and he wont know the difference anyways he would forget, plus he will still have fun. Thank god for DH, I think he knows he would have a balistic wife to deal with. LOL.
Thank you everybody for your responses and escpecially pointing out my goof- cause if I would have arrived there thinking about fireworks and finding out there was none- OMG I woud have a heartattack- atleast now I will be prepared.!

Take heart knowing that you are going during a slow time. You'll be able to enjoy at a relaxed place. Plus it will be much easier to manuveur that stroller.

I didnt know disneyland had a slow time LOL.... :rotfl2: It always seems so busy! When I tried to book a place from Sat- Wed ... almost all the good hotels said no vacancy. but I did luck out and got Park vue since I reduced my days. I just didnt want to deal with ART this time, esp by myself with a 2 year old and a huge stroller. :scared1: Well ty everyone for the great responses I am feeling better!
