Fireworks after park close?

I’m fine tuning plans for our late Sept/early October trip and noticed the Star Wars fireworks at Hollywood are at 8:30 on 9/28 even though the park closes at 8:00. Is that accurate, or is it likely that one or the other will be updated?

Not uncommon, and entirely possible that will be the final schedule. It’s also possible hours may change.

I would expect Movie Magic to be playing on the Chinese about 8:10 (but I certainly don't know for certain), so there could very well be something to watch there between 8pm closing and 8:30 fireworks start.

Yes it is accurate and not uncommon as previously stated. More than likely one of two things will happen:

1. Park will officially "close" at 8:00pm which means rides/attractions will close, HOWEVER, shops will still remain open and guests will be allowed to stay inside the park and watch the firework show with no interruptions.

2. As the date grows closer, the park hours will be extended to 8:30 or later and/or there will be Evening EMH added.

No need to worry!

When we saw it last fall, the park/rides closed at 8. the stores were still open to shop. Everyone was lined up on the street and infront of the buildings about 8 pm. The Star Wars fireworks started at 8:30.
Times may change.

Okay, thanks everyone. We have Hoop Dee Doo at 6:15 so mainly I'm trying to figure out if we'd be able to slip into the park just before the show starts. I don't think we'd make it over to HS by 8:00 so maybe we'll plan it for another day.

Yeah, they won’t let you into the park after close, even if fireworks are going. (I missed experiencing the 1st iteration of Star Wars fireworks, in the park, due to that rule)
