Firework preferred seating?

How do you get the seats for Fireworks, I think it is the preferred seating area, the area where they block off right in front of the castle.

They are not seats that can be purchased. They are used for a variety of reasons. I was told sometimes Disney sponsors will sit there other times guests with a variety of reasons are reserved a spot by managers. What someone said to me was, "They are seats for Disney to use as needed."

We asked the security guy standing guard about sitting there a couple of weeks ago. He said that they were being given out as YOAMD prizes.
