Anyone have any tips for photographing the fireworks at MK? I'm assuming a tripod is necessary, where do you set up? I've seen some great photos maybe someone could share some advice.

Thanks-
Donna

I forget what the current visiting policy is, but we were able to get some nice photos from the viewing area on top of the Contemporary outside the Calif. Grille...used a ledge instead of a tripod and just kept the shutter depressed.

FatCow has some of the nicest fireworks shots I have seen so far. I found him on the trip reports board.

Check it out, I'm sure he'd give you some pointers.

IMO-tripod IS necessary, if you have a manual SLR, a longer shutter speed helps.
