We were planning on watching Wishes from the New Fantasyland area (near Enchanted Tales with Belle). Now I'm reading reports that we might get hit with firework debris back there? Any experiences with this?

I haven't experienced it, but I do recall a fire on the roof of the Ariel ride being caused by firework debris. In addition, I've watched the show from behind the castle, the view is not that good, as some of the fireworks are going off right around the castle, and others are back farther, behind where you are, so you can't see everything at once.

I saw the firework from the BOG bridge twice, both after dinner. It was nice to watch the firework in a more quite setting, although it is not the best spot to watch the firework as it meant to be presented. You do need to look both side (lots of head turning) for the fireworks--by Cinderella's Castle and behind BOG. Not once we see or feel any debris.

Our favorite spot to watch Wishes is right where you describe. I've seen it from there more times than I care to admit, and I can only remember a bit of ash on one or two occasions.

We had a near incident with some debris back there. I was glad the ground was wet where we were standing. It has only happened once and we have stood back there a few times. I remember thinking "wow that could have been bad" at the time.

We were walking through the LM queu during Wishes and had fireworks debris fall on us.

They have CM's walking around back there just watching for debris falling and picking it up as it falls. We didn't have any land near us though.

We watched the NYE fireworks on the bridge in New Fantasyland, which were literally completely surrounding us, and had nothing fall on us (luckily). I also didn't see any fall nearby, or hear anyone complain of it. Wishes may be different, but I would think with 360 fireworks we had a better chance of being hit. If you ever go for NYE, the fireworks were great from back there and it wasn't very crowded at all! Showed up 20 minutes before and got an amazing spot. We plan to watch them from there again this trip at least once.

Just wanted to point out that the wind direction will be a major factor in where any debris falls. Just because it has happened (or not happened) to others doesn't mean it will happen to you.

I am sure the wind plays a HUGE part in where things fall and blow. That area is common but not typical!

DH got hit several times w/ firework debris when we were there in August and ended up just keeping his head down because even his eyeglasses were not enough eye protection. We watch the fireworks in Frontierland now.

It's an amazing view but yes I can confirm firework debris fell on me.

Same here. Fantastic view, however there was a lot of debris. In fact, there was a small fire due the debris which was handled pretty immediately.
