Fires/Air Quality...getting better?

I have a friend who would like to visit Disneyland in March, but is extremely worried about the fire situation. Both she and her 10 yr old daughter have breathing issues. I haven't seen much on the fires lately, just wondering if anyone thinks by March the air quality would be better?

The fires were never a problem at Disneyland, as the smoke and fires were north of the area. The worst fire is already 92% contained.

They are out. 92% means they are in final mop up stage and that is all the way up in Santa Barbara area

The news coverage of the fires concerned me too for my Dec 12th visit.
I expected to see smoke and/or the fire when I flew into SNA.
To my surprise, I saw nothing. It looked the same as always. A little haze/smog and that was it.

Even when I flew out after dark I thought I'd see flame area somewhere. But still nothing.

Air quality wasn't a problem then and I wouldn't think it will be any different in March.

The local TV stations generally have an Air Quality indicator on their weather pages.
I like channel 7's weather page. On the left below the seven days forecast is the Air Quality. There is also a matching color band on the current days forecast box.

Air quality has been fine since before Christmas. Unless more fires start up, everyone will be fine. I live about 15 miles away from where the Thomas fire was burning and we haven't had any issues in over a week. I drove up the coast and aside from still being able to smell some of the charred countryside, in the areas where the fires burned to the ocean, it's really not bad at all.
