I was fired about 3 years ago from Disney, and I have thinking about going back while I finish my schooling. My question: Does the No Hire/Restricted status ever expire? I was very young and stupid when I was 20 and was fired for points. I hope to be able to get into my old department again. Any thoughts or success stories to those who have been fired with the aforementioned status and yet able to be rehired? :cool1:

There's an application process to have restricted rehire lifted, you have to fill out paperwork and show that you've held the same job for 6 months or more and your case is then reviewed by casting agents. I was never fired but have restricted rehire status for not meeting transfer guidelines when I left. I've applied twice and my status was denied both times. I'm applying again next month.

is there any way to tell of your status? i like to think i left on good terms...haha at least i hope so

You won't find out until you apply. I eventually talked casting into giving me my status before applying but it wasn't easy.

How bad did your record card look when you left?

I didn't have any reprimands or anything, but I was either one point or half a point from meeting transfer guidelines and it would have been erased like two days after I left, had my program been a week longer.

I asked people on here how good my chances were at getting back in after this and one or two people said that they didn't meet transfer guidelines when they left but they never had a restricted status. Now I'm worried again.:guilty:

I had two attendence reprimands. I'm not sure why my rehire is restricted other than that, I never had any performance reprimands or anything and I know people who had worse record cards than I did who never had a rehire issue. I think maybe my department, entertainment, has something to do with it. This time when I apply I may apply for a different department and see if its easier to have my status lifted.

Yeah, I could see certain departments being a lot stricter. My roommate just got a job at DL and she didn't meet transfer guidelines when she left WDW but she had a rehire status. We were both merchandise, so maybe they're not as strict.
