Has anyone seen the new fire safety exhibit at Illuminations? I read about in in the Allears Newsletter and I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback.

My husband is a volunteer firefighter and I think this may lure him back to the World before our next scheduled trip!

Thanks!

I haven't seen it yet but I'll be there tomorrow and I'll watch for it.

It is sponsored by Liberty Mutual Insurance - I just read about it in a publication sent to policyholders. There is a link on their website about it (www.libertymutalinsurance.com) but I tried it and nothing came up so it may not be loaded yet. Anyway, here is some info from the publication (I saved it cuz the little boy in a firefighters costume looks so much like my nephew that I have to send it to my sis in law!).
From the brochure:
It is a new Innoventions 4000-plus square foot interactive exhibit. It is a unique attraction filled with hands-on interactive exhibits. Guests discover how cutting edge sciences and technologies can simplify and enhance their lives toady & tomorrow. It is designed to help families bolster their fire safety knowledge. The centerpiece is the team competition to identify fire risks. Teams scramble to locate & defuse the hazards. Very young children have a play area tesigned to teach them how to escape a fire called "play it safe". It is a 4 room house with lighting to simulate how fire travels through a room. Another component is "burning questions" containing 3 family friendly kiosks shapend like homes with touch screen safety quiz stations.
It doesn't say how long it will be there, but there is a sweepstakes insert to win a trip whihc includes touring the exhibit & the sweepstakes goes through the middle of Dec so this may be around at least until the end of the year.
Hope this helps!!

DD9 went through on Monday, October 11 and loved it! They divide the group into two teams and they race against each other to see who can collect the most points, using a flashlight on targets that are safety/fire hazards, such as clothes on a lamp. Then you try to get as many as you can. You get 100 points for each hazard, but also get -10 for each incorrect response.
