fire fox???

It is free and it is superior to IE. I use it as my browser for playing VMK. It takes awhile for it to load up VMK(much longer than IE). However, this is compensated by the fact it reloads the game very quickly(provided you dont close the program). This is perfect for days when VMK keeps dc'ing(like yesterday's quest).

I hate it I down loaded it once and never again I had a viruas sprout from it that made vmk not work it is un-protected and not safe atleast for me and I had to re-do my full computer in my opinion I think IE is more superior.

Jason, your experience with firefox is quite uncommon. Firefox actually has more protection, much more, than Internet Explorer 6 - more than likely, you installed the browser while your virus protectiuon was running thereby causing a bad installation. If you are running Norton or MacAfee antivirus, they are your culprits, not Firefox.

I have IE and Firefox on all my computers and IE7 Beta3 on one of mine. Firefox is basically the old Netscape browser and runs like it. It caches much slower but reads the cache better than IE6. For VMK, I prefer it because of its superior cache reading qualities. I do not use it, however, when I want to stream content from websites. IE handle that best.

I love the Firefox browser, I especially like the tabs. But when IE goes to tabs, will still stick with Firefox. I have had actually less problems with viruses since I started using it, not more. I had several right before I switched, and no problems since. From what my own personal "computer guru" tells me, the people who make viruses tailor them to exploit IE, since that's what most people use.

I will just say, Exactlly! :)

I'm a huge fan of firefox. Tabbed browsing is great, and it does have more protection than IE. Also, If you have Norton or some other virus protection, you should be fine.
