Fire Brigade strike = travel disruption?

Not too sure if this is right or not, but the BBC is reporting that if the Fire Brigade Union goes on strike that air travel could be disrupted because of a lack of fire cover at airports.

Lets hope this is just sabre rattling. Can anyone remember what the situation was last time the Green Goddesses graced our streets?

I was in Primary School during the last strike...I can just remember seeing the Green Goddesses in action, but that's about it! I do hope that it doesn't affect the airports though :( I thought Airports had their own Fire Depts that were independent to the normal ones - though I guess they might still all be in the same Union...
