Apparently last night at about 4 am a fireworks storage facilty caught on fire at Universal. There was no damage to any attractions or buildings.

I live across the street and didn't hear a thing so I'm not sure how bad it was.

Thank you for that information. Are the parks looking to scrap the fireworks shows until after the fires are no longer a threat?

Just today my boss told me that Disney has not had any fireworks except for Epcot because of the fires but I don't know if it's true, so please check with someone who knows for sure.

Universal hasn't had any fireworks since the Easter crowds died off. They'll probably start again soon as visitors return.

Although I'll say that we've had a decent amount of rain so far today. I woke up to some thunder early this mornin. I hope that this is helping put out the brush fires in the area.

Going to take more rain then the rain from this morning. The grass is still crunchy and the sun is already starting to come out, atleast on the NW side of Orlando. Any lightning strikes could set off more fires. Had to remind my wife to be careful this morning driving to work as the buildup of oil on the road and the lack of rain for pretty much the last 2 months creates Florida Black Ice ;)

The sun is coming out already? :( I don't have a window in my office so I going outside is always a surprise, you never know if it's raining or if it's sunny.

Thanks for that info! I'm glad it wasn't more serious. It will be interesting to hear if the theme parks do cancel fireworks until the dry conditions change.

I have a puppy thats 12 weeks old and Tuesday was the first time she saw rain. She didn't know what to think.
It is so dry here that my weeds are dying! :sunny:

I live real close to Universal and on Monday night they did something with fireworks. It was about 11 pm and they were rocking the area. These were some of the loudest fireworks that I've heard in the area. I think they are rehearsing the summer show since they the new projection system.

Everyone, repeat after me.

Monday night was POW WOW. They had a fireworks show. It was huge, it was pretty, and it was at about 10:54. Thank you.

It was pretty and was longer than many of the firework shows. I only watched it from my house and was impressed.

We are currently at Disney World and I can assure you for the last 10 days each park (minus AK) has had full fireworks (Wishes -- MK; Fantasmic -- MGM; and Illuminations -- Epcot).

I thought all the noise was from a passionate night from a honeymoon couple in the Portofino!
