I had fiber optics put in for my computer system, through Verizon two weeks ago. So far, I'm loving it...well, at least as far as my computer goes. My phones are all affected, and not in a good way. The Caller ID doesn't work for the most part, one phone has a horrible echoey type sound to it, another one has static. THere is actually one phone that can't be picked up if another phone is being used...you know, if someone calls, I answer downstairs and dd tries to pick up the upstairs extension. So, I called Verizon and their snappy answer was..."Well, there is a lot of equipment out there that is not compatible with the new fiber optics yet." And then he gave me a short list of phones/answering machines etc that they had had complaints with.
So, my question is this....have any of you had good luck with any particular phones/answering machines that work with the new FiOS? I'm slowly losing my little mind with these subpar phones. What should I be looking for when I buy new phones/answ. machines??
Thanks.
