Finished the Minnie 5k and now attempting the Princess 1/2 - Am I nuts!?!

Thanks guys! Wow.. runners knee huh? LOL I feel so "athletic" LOL!!! I will definately do some exercises for it, and i iced it after my w/o.. I don't really xt right now, as on my days off i usally just walk.. I am starting yoga next month with my MIL i think.. I am reading a yoga book she gave me too, to learn some good poses..
I honestly don't have the extra cash to join a gym, or anything.. So, whatever i do, i have to do it with my resources - aka free. ;)
We'll see how the knee goes..
 
hey sis.....checkin in for tonight....there are definately pt's at my hospital, so remind me one of the 3billion times that i usually talk to you while i'm at work and i'll see what i can find out for ya. :) better not push yourself too much! i'm psyched w/ your progress so far so don't go off and get hurt on me or anything!! take it slow, and BE CAREFUL.....listen to your body (and amy....she sounds like she knows quite a bit about that stuff...thanks amy) :) also, go off and get that cute white number....you've earned it! ttyl..night!
 
Hi everyone! Not much to report today - didn't really do much.. Trying to get ready for a Breast Cancer benefit that i am selling at this Sat. Still have alot to do for tomorrow.. i am a total procrastinator!! :sad2: But, i also work well under pressure.. which is totally the opposite from the rest of my family! :lmao: (Sorry Barb, you know it's true!!) ;)

My knee seemed somewhat better today - but i am doing W3D2 tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes..

I will tell everyone -- i treated myself to that cute lil' white number (white workout tank) at the surf shop near me.. she gave me a heck of a deal on it! :thumbsup2 It's good to know other store owners!! LOL ;) So, i will slip into that for my workout tomorrow!

Stacie -- if you read this - thanks for listing Amy's design site for me, i found some great designs that i asked her to personalize for my cruise in Dec. :thumbsup2 She is very talented!!

But even if the scale doesn't budge as much as you're hoping for....if you keep up the c25k and the extras you're doing...you'll be a fitter, healthier person no matter what. :goodvibes

Yeah, Amy does have some cool designs. She just did one for me for my inlaws anniversary. They are going to Disney and as a Suprise we are sending them on a Wishes cruise!!! (I'm making it into a card) My SIL printed out one of the names designs with cars characters looking through for my nephew. They are going in January. It turned out soo cute! I'm not sure if it was or patsdesigns.com (Pat) or Amy, but she also had one made for all 3 of them to match and wear one day. It has the castle in the background, some of the main or popular Disney Charachters and it says Poste family trip 2008. I'm suprised my BIL agreed to wear it. He's not into the Characters too much... We are going in May for our anniversary (along w/ the rest of the fam!) and Amy has one that says "Today is my anniversary/birthday..., Feel free to treat me like a princess" I think I will get that one and make into a t-shirt and wear the day of our anniversary. WOW---that was probably way more than you wanted to know! Sorry! :confused3 When I start talking about Disney, sometimes I can't stop! lol :rotfl:

Once you get your designs made, post some pics so we can see! how fun!!

Hi everyone, not much to report.. didn't do anything yesterday - was supposed to do W3D2, but we had the oil guy coming,and he had to get to the furnace, which is right next to the TM - and i didn't feel like scaring him when he would walk in on me sweating my "you know what" off.. LOL So, i will be doing W3D2 tonight.

I am on my way this am to set my mom up to do that event for me, then i gotta work at my store, b/c my help called in sick today.. :( So, there goes the day off.. All part of being your own boss i guess.. So, my loving mom agreed to do my 3 hour Breast Cancer event, and sell my tables there.. and then i will be at the store.. so i can check on and DIS with you all later. :) My helper agreed to work tomorrow instead if she is feeling better, so i will get tomorrow off..
And i have made an executive decision to close my store on Tuesdays also (closed only mondays now) til the spring.. So, at least now, i will get 3 days off.. (one of the PERKs of being your own boss..) So, i can work 4 days, and then my niece will work one weekend day, and then i will be having every monday and tues off. :)
I have lots of shows/events booked on the weekends (oh, and WDW trips/cruises) so i am excited..

Talk to you later!! Oh, did i mention, i got my dd's cold, and it is kicking my "you know what" also.. i feel very yucky.. :( So, working out tonight ought to be fun...but i want to do it.
 
Hey Stacy--sorry to be MIA from your journal this week...it has been a very busy week. You are doing so great with the c25k program. You are going to totally rock that 5k in May.

As for the knees, I had knee problems for years when I was growing up. The doctor always told me that I needed to strengthen the muscles. I started doing a variety of different exercises to strengthen and lo and behold the knee pain disappeared. Every once in awhile now they will be sore, but the bad pain I used to experience as a kid is gone. So, you may want to do some strength exercise, it may just help.

WTG for buying that exercise top...I love treating myself to a new running outfit every now and then! We do deserve it!

BTW-what type of store do you own?

I'm sure you totally ROCKED that W3D2 run today. Good idea not running in front of the oil guy. :laughing: I wouldn't have been able to do it either, and my focus would have been on "when is he coming" instead of getting into the zone.

You're really doing great with the c25k program. I might be jumping back on that whenever I can finally run again. :thumbsup2

Good early morning guys!! I am still very sick.. needless tosay i haven't done my W3D2 yet, :( I may attempt it today.. but honestly not sure yet. My sinuses are killing me, and my face feels like it weighs 100 lbs. I am just so tired.
I have today and tomorrow off, thank God, to rest up.. But, i am also mad b/c it is throwing off my training schedule..

I promise i will be back on later to catch up on missed journals..

GET BETTER SIS !!!!!! you sound sooooooo stuffed up and congested on the phone. get rest and don't try to take on too much (u always do!) it won't do you any good if you don't rest!! love ya! :)
 
Stacy, it sounds like you have a humdinger of a sinus infection! Drink lots of fluids and rest up! I hope you feel better very soon. Don't worry about your training, it will happen when your body is better. Hang in there. :hug:
 
Hi guys.. I am feeling a lil' better today.. I think i should be fine to train tomorrow am, depending on sleep tonight ;) .
Back to work tomorrow.. Then i have Sat off to help at my church's fall festival.
Tomorrow is DH's bday (34!) and we are going out to eat for dinner at Pub 99 with his parents. Hopefully, i will get my appetite and my sense of taste back by then. LOL :)

I'm so glad you're on the mend. I think you did the wise thing by resting up. Training will be there as soon as you're ready. Funny thing about running....you kinda need to breathe. :laughing: Don't worry about losing ground - your body will surprise you. :thumbsup2

Happy bday to your DH!! (I'll be the same age as him in December :headache: ). Time just freakin flies by, doesn't it? :confused3
